This is very Korean. I’ve been to Korea over 30 times now. Headed back for a short visit the first week of October. One of the most fascinating cultures I’ve ever worked with. Very creative and beautiful place. Although, it still holds the record for the coldest feeling winter I’ve ever experienced.

I think Apple are missing a trick by not selling an official AirPods silicone cover in matching iPhone/Apple Watch bands colours. $20

But nobody would wear AirPod cases, they stay in pockets/bags so it won't matter.
People who get this kind of stuff are probably the kind that have hundreds of colourful toys in their bedroom.

I'm guessing the market is huge for AirPod cases in Asia/SE Asia. My wife is Thai, and her AirPods are in a case. She's even offered to buy me a case to protect mine, but I prefer the slippery feel of the white plastic as it slides in and out of my pocket.

It's nice to see people adding some customization to their products especially if it's simple, cute, and inexpensive.

What fun is it if everyone has a white AirPods case then apple may come out with a new color like space grey and everyones like woot woot!

The cuteness is nice (and I, non-Korean) think the little bears are awesome.
But this stuff is SEVERELY functional. A plastic cover allows you to attach the AirPods case with a carabiner to somewhere convenient. I attach it to a belt loop on my pants; some women might attach it to a handbag strap.

The best packages also come with a plastic ting you slip onto your Apple Watch band, so that you can easily slide Airpod(s) onto your watch band. REALLY handy. Seriously, if you're operating without both of these, your life is just more complicated than it needs to be.

And yes, I do hope Apple, soon enough, jumps onto this band wagon same as phone and ipad cases. The Amazon ones are fine (at least the ones I bought) but Apple's versions tend to be just that much more elegant and thought out.

Hi Nicky, I'm not sure how that was interpreted as disdain for Airpod cases, my girlfriend got some for her Airpods with little cat ears - which are fine. Sorry if I offended.

I was simply highlighting that Apple needs to sell different colourways for their Airpods, because they themselves are highlighting customers desire for diversity and individuality. I myself was seriously considering getting a custom pair from Colorware until my partner bought me some regular ones.

Ironically, Apple doesn't sell or make these cases. If someone else made an ad featuring their products like this, they'd go mad. Typical Apple hypocrisy.

These cases are dirt cheap on Ali Express and eBay. Apple would never sell these for anything less than 30 bucks judging by their stock now.

Apple probably custom designed all of these cases just for the ad, they look like cases you can find (like BTS and stuff) but are not exactly the same.

I think that's the intent of the video - to create demand in other markets. For North America, it's "skulls" etc.

People (in my area, Los Angeles) don't know they exist. But they know they want them!
I've probably had at least five or so people on the street look at my kit (case, carabiner, watch holder) and ask where they can buy it.
Presumably that's part of the point of an ad like this, to tell people -- if you find carrying your case and Airpods a hassle, there are solutions, just look for them.

Now an EVEN BETTER solution would be to have at least some of this stuff in Apple stores and on the web site...
Maybe that's coming?
