"It looks like you've been in a crash."
Seems Clippy has found a new job.

Lol, Wonder how many tries if they destroy their phone first in the crash test....Waiting for our fellow YouTubers to crash test the iPhone.
Hard to tell until there are some real life examples, but it seems like the variety of things that need to happen all at once to invoke it should make it pretty difficult to trigger false alarms. That's for sure a potentially very good feature. But will it be reliable ? I mean that even a small quantity of false alarms will generate such a mess that it needs to be extremely well tested.
the Google Pixel phones have had this feature for the last 4 generations of phones. Since 2018.These small things are the reason I stick with Apple. You don’t see other companies developing health and safety features like this. They’re too busy bragging about their megapixels.

Perhaps for them it just calls a hearse.Any mention of this working for cyclists or motorbikes?
Why?Wait - this is on by default (on new devices)? That seems like a really really bad idea.
...or maybe an influencer or two could start a trend.Waiting for our fellow YouTubers to crash test the iPhone.
I ride a motorcycle and even though it is not listed as covered, I really hope it does. I hope that I never find out if it does or does not though.Any mention of this working for cyclists or motorbikes?
Pixel phones have car crash detection as well; Google added it to the built-in Personal Safety app back in 2019.These small things are the reason I stick with Apple. You don’t see other companies developing health and safety features like this. They’re too busy bragging about their megapixels.
Series 7 had fall detection for cyclists, so that might cover itI ride a motorcycle and even though it is not listed as covered, I really hope it does. I hope that I never find out if it does or does not though.
Yes. It’s a very similar message that keeps repeating for EMS.The automated message is a nice feature. Is this something that already happens for fall detection as well?
Watch the Apple event and you’ll see whyI still don’t get why this is iPhone version 14 and the new watch models only. Isn’t this just an accelerometer trick
Many many of us drive models that either don’t have this option, or have let the subscription lapse. I think you’d be surprised at the percentage of drivers on the road without it.Short of some base models, most cars have this capability already built into them.
Some don’t even require a phone be connected as they have built in services for that.
OnStar, HondaLink, Ford Pass, etc., all have this feature by default.
Most drivers don’t have something like this. I think some people don’t realize that everyone doesn’t drive a brand new car. The average age of a car in the USA is like 12 years. I’ve never had a car with some sort of onstar system. My current car is a 2014 and has Bluetooth but not even CarPlay. Many many of us drive models that either don’t have this option, or have let the subscription lapse. That's awesome (automated message); I had no idea it did this already. I hope your day-to-day is good and (generally) trouble-free. My mom has MS but it hasn't progressed much since her new treatment a few years back.Yes. It’s a very similar message that keeps repeating for EMS.
It’s the reason I first got an Apple Watch. I have MS and live alone, so falling without access to help is a real concern. I’ve activated it in falls several times in the last few years, but fortunately haven’t required help and could cancel the alert each time.
I’m very excited to see crash detection in this new series of phones and watches. I hope to never need it, but it’s a great backup.
