He added that the device's two-hour battery life may be likely to remain through successive generations of the mixed-reality headset, much like how the two standard Apple Watch model sizes have had no battery life improvements since their announcement in 2014.
Get ready to hear the phrase "great, two-hour battery life" for the next decade.

Moving back to x86 is not the solution.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s going to take a while for Apple engineers to make Apple Silicon modular. We thought it would happen with the Mac Studio and it didn’t. multiple GPUs, RAM slots and PCI is not easy to do when your entire system is built around a different architecture. Apple should publicly disclose that its coming, but currently possibly in today engineering.

good as for me WWDC should be just about software so I can skip events that release new hardware am not interested in lol

Just release an Intel 13900k Mac Pro and call it a day. That CPU runs circles around anything and everything Apple has to offer. Jesus christ, it's NOT that hard. A company worth 3 trillion dollars cant sell a good computer? That's embarrassing.

first off. every computer Apple makes is the best computer.

Second, they’re no point. the i9-13900K Pairs well with the Nvidia 4000 series GPU. Apple partners with AMD. The 13900 series has some bottleneck issues with AMD GPUs even with the 7900XT series.

3rd, Apple prides themselves with high performance and low wattage. it’s the main reason fans big Mac’s

The 13900 series is a wattage hog maxing out 150W with my 4090.

Releasing a 13900K Mac Pro would be pointless...

However, the Xeon W-3400 chips that Intel just released this year WOULD be a perfectly valid upgrade for the existing Mac Pro line.

Of course, the chance that Apple does that is somewhere around 2% :)

"Gurman said that he now expects the "in-air typing" text input method to be present on Apple's mixed-reality headset when it launches,"

Waiting this long, Apple may just announce the M3 for the Mac Pro
Thats irrelevant. The Mac Studio needs the M2 Ultra to pair with M2 Max for both model configurations for leaving M1 Max and M1 Ultra configs. At the same time Apple needs to have the M2 Ultra used in the Mac Pro so that there is another model that makes use of the M2 Ultra.

Like why make one expensive SoC like the Ultra for just one Mac model? In the meanwhile Mark only has to spin rumors about possible Mac Models showing and not knowing anything else about Macs.

Need better rumor sources.

I see now issue with the MacBook Air 15" being offset from the 13" for a generation. I'm sure it will resynchronize eventually.

It is such a pity that the M* Quadra (4x M* Max Chips) has been so difficult for Apple to ship.

The one thing I do expect is: the Mac Pro and Mac Studio will continue with an interleaved cadence, with only one getting the new M* chips per release. M1 Mac Studio, M2 Mac Pro, M3 Mac Studio, M4 Mac Pro (an hopefully these will get us an M4 Quadra!!!!)

The "Quadra" naming would make me salivate instantly.
Apple was in its dark age but those were amazing machines nonetheless.

What Apple rumors are nowadays:

- under display FaceID… delayed, not coming until 202x and when that time nears, delayed again
- under display TouchID… delayed, not coming until 202x and when that time nears, delayed again
- iMac 27… same
- blood glucose monitoring for Apple Watch… same
- bigger MacBook Air… same
- cheaper AppleTV… same
- new Mac Pro… same
- more than 5K display… same

The sensation is always that Apple underdelivers…

If you stop following Mac rumours, you could then just enjoy the exciting announcements that arrive just in time? :)

-goggles: coming soon and will blow you away!

That's the nature of rumors, though. Some of these things were probably just ideas when they "leaked" and were nowhere near production.
