wow! that sucks. My 2018 Air is nothing like that. The display is crisp and clear with no backlight bleed. Hope my new 2020 that's coming on Monday is perfect as well. Crossing fingers. So did you order another one to replace the returned one?

Yes, mine was a stuck #ShanghaiGang package but I was cleared the day I was shipped and then I had two in transit Shanghai updates within a few days after that. I highly recommend downloading the UPS app, it has much more detailed tracking info than the website.

This is actually Fedex, and I do have the app. This doesn't mean it leaving China is imminent, though?

Add me to the list. Ordered a 1 TB 16GB space grey M1 MBP on Nov 11th. Original delivery window was Nov 27th - Dec 4. New delivery window is Jan 6th - 13th. Haven’t received an email from Apple yet even though the delivery window changed around 10am EST.

A follow up on my post #2863 from yesterday.

At 1341 today I called FEDEX again to see if there had been any progress in finding my MBA. I was told that the problem had been sent “upstream” for priority processing, but to expect a delivery date of 7 December.

At 1350 I checked FEDEX web site and it showed 7 Dec delivery date, but also showed on the vehicle for delivery today. OK, maybe some chance it will show today.

1400 I was going to the post office and happened to look on the front porch, where I saw my MBA! Brought it inside and then checked the FEDEX tracking which showed it had been delivered at 1318. No knock, doorbell, or request for the required signature. They just left it on the porch.

I’m relieved that it arrived in good order. A day late, meh - not a big deal. The issue was concern that it had been reported delivered somewhere else and that it might be gone.

Data updates from the drivers to the head shed are not instantaneous, but I found it somewhat ironic that at the time I was on the phone with FEDEX the MBA had been sitting on my porch for nearly a half hour.

Happy it is here!

For the rest of you, my 16gb/1tb MBA was ordered November 10 and arrived Dec 4, if that time frame helps.

I ordered a M1 MacMini with 16G of memory and 1TB of SSD yesterday. Apple says Arrives Jan 12.

Hopefully it will come sooner. This give me a lot of time to decide what display to get for it.

I reached out to support to see there is a delay and said nope should be delivered in the window. I ordered on 11/23, Monday before Black Friday. Thinking, I will get it in a week, they even had my model and specs at the store. I just did not want to drive, I figure wait a few days. This was a mistake I will not make again.

I never thought it would take 3 weeks to deliver.

My 16/512 Mac mini (ordered on 11/13), which was stuck in Hong Kong for a few days, looks to have made it through Anchorage. Seems like they may actually make their estimated delivery of 12/9.

Is it normal to go from "International shipment release- Import Shanghai" at 2am December 5th to then two more "In transit Shanghai?"at 2:02am and 3:33am?

I have the multiple Shanghai scans. This is the order I'm currently expecting next week:

I think someone speculated earlier in this thread we're seeing the movement between offices/stages at the Shanghai hub before it leaves China.

Now the long wait while my package sits at the airport just miles away from me the entire weekend. I waited a long time with you guys in Shanghai and was somehow able to be patient but at least that's on the other side of the world.

Even though my package arrived in Louisville today, I just got an email from Apple saying that my package might be delayed. I hope this is because the original delivery window when I placed my order was Nov 27-Dec 4 and not due to the rescheduled delivery date of Dec 07 being delayed. UPS is still showing Dec 7. I received the first Apple delayed email on Dec 1, presumably because the original shipping email indicated Dec 1 for delivery.

No, at least with UPS, often it will clear customs at the airport and then sit in China for a while.

I ordered my Mini (16GB/256) the same day. I had the same estimates on shipping as you--both of them. They charged my card on Monday and shipped it to Hong Kong on Wednesday. It's still there right now. Haven't seen any kind of update about customs or anymore info since then. UPS says it will be delivered 12/9, Apple says 12/11. Hopefully you will get an update soon.

You may not have a flight out till early tomorrow morning. I know the next flight to Lansing is at 5am. Idk which state you’re in but it may be the same case for you.

Go to https://flightaware.com/, and use the "Search By Route" feature. In the origin, put SDF for Louisville, and in the destination, put in your major local airport and it'll bring up a list of past, current, and upcoming flights. You can look for the next scheduled UPS flight from there and even use the filtering features if the list is large.

Do you think there's any way we could set up a manual pickup and drive and pick it up from our local facilities?

I'd give it 50/50 only because of the previous delays. My understanding is that the current service doesn't include Saturday delivery but sometimes UPS choose to anyway for their own reasons.
I don't think pickup will be allowed without a delivery attempt. Sometimes you can pay to make a change like pickup, but it looks like there are restrictions on these deliveries.
