Most Pacific cargo flights come in through Anchorage. Anchorage is usually not too much of a hub for FedEx or UPS and they don't operate that many flights to local cities. Most likely, your package will go from Shanghai to Anchorage to Memphis to your City, like ours did with UPS: PVG > ANC > SDF (Louisville) > Dest

You talking about backlight bleeding? Dont all backlit displays have it at full brightness?
Yeah, I was kind of shocked. I really expected it to go through all the delays and rerouting BS everyone else's computers are going through. I know Apple has some kind of repair/refurb depot in Lebanon, so maybe a planeload of base models were shipped there for distribution across the U.S. But who knows.
This foils my plan of basing the movement of my other MBA to figure out when the second one will actually arrive

I live in Germany and I ordered a MBP 256/16GB about a week ago.
Both the Apple Store App & Apple Order Website tell me that my MBP has shipped. Strangely the website is telling me that my MBP will arrive on the 10th of Dec where the Apple Store App is still showing 14th - 21st Dec as an estimated arrival date. Which one is more accurate?
I checked the tracking status on the DHL website and the status hasn’t changed from "Shipment information received" (in EINDHOVEN, NETHERLANDS) since Wednesday. It also keeps telling me it would arrive "today" by 22:00. I assume they are talking about the arrival of my MBP in Eindhoven?
Does anyone know when this will change? I literally can’t find any DHL flight from Shanghai to Eindhoven either and I already tried to call Apple & DHL. (They are both not answering)
I would really appreciate any help!

Also got a departure scan (at 4:33pm). Similar to @GHalstead there are no flights to my local hub until ~4am, so it must be a pre-emptive scan.
Eindhoven is just an DHL office, flight go from Shanghai to Amsterdam. My package was on "Shipment information received" for 4 days, many people reported longer wait at this stage, up to 10 days. Once it arrives to Europe, your estimated delivery date will update. Your computer will most likely arrive someday next week.

Mine is also out of Louisville, and the departure scan time is very close to a flight to a "superhub" in my State. The flight landed around 20 minutes ago, finger crossed.
My MBP just departed Louisville about half an hour ago. Here's hoping for a Saturday afternoon delivery. (I live in a major metro)
Just got an arrival scan in my city. Still showing 12/07 estimated delivery.
Oh man, I was wrong. There was a flight right after my scan. Still not expecting Saturday unless someone really got involved to get these moving.
Is it normal to go from "International shipment release- Import Shanghai" at 2am December 5th to then two more "In transit Shanghai?"at 2:02am and 3:33am?
Yes, mine was a stuck #ShanghaiGang package but I was cleared the day I was shipped and then I had two in transit Shanghai updates within a few days after that. I highly recommend downloading the UPS app, it has much more detailed tracking info than the website.
So you don’t want the devices anymore that were worth $3600 to you just because they will be a few days late?
That is honestly bizarre. Especially given there probably are serious reasons for the delay considering the state the world is in.
Ohh, that makes sense! Thanks for telling me that, it’s my first online purchase from Apple, so I didn’t really know the route between Germany and China. I’ll try to be patient then. 😁
Here’s my update. I leave the country on the 10th. I’m actually hopeful now that it’s coming before I leave!

Now the long wait while my package sits at the airport just miles away from me the entire weekend. I waited a long time with you guys in Shanghai and was somehow able to be patient but at least that's on the other side of the world.
