It would be interesting to see Ive to call/facetime steve this time...

I also hope for the new Final Cut and Logic Studio X, but I doubt we'll see them this time, it mainly looks like an iOS and iPad 2... so, here's my speculation

Pretty sure:
- iOS/iTunes/App Store success stories
- iPad 2
- iOS 4.3
- New MobileMe services

Less sure:
- New iMac with Thunderbolt, FaceTime HD, New CPU, new GPU
- iMag (subscriptions for eMagazines/newspaper, directly in iBookStore)
- iWork 11
- A New Graphic suite (to build and submit your eBook, eMag, iTunes LP)
- Safari 6 Beta (to be sure Safari 6 will be included in Lion with less bugs)

Not really sure at all:
- iOS 5 "sneak peak"
- Final Cut
- Logic Studio

Let's stay tuned now and see what will happen :)

The presentation of Jony Ive calling Steve would be VERY VERY interesting indeed. Queue up Jony Ive showing a new iWork graphic application - built from the ground up, showing loose (I mean REALLY loose) erotic sketches of a new, far-out, generation iMac. Jony FaceTimes Steve ... Steve accepts call ... Jony presents slide-show that Steve can save (for later) or switch to on the fly with a tiny window of Jony with his bullocks grin ;) (charm in for good measure - putting Steve and the board at measure). Then Steve complains that he just doesn't get the sketches ... a cute two way chuckle ensues - Jony being measured here ... then Jony goes to his iMac ... FaceTime HD continues the FaceTime in live seemless hand-over (an update coming SOON folks) ... and now Jony sends the originals (hidden to all viewers - using Lion Airshare; whatever its called) and Steve's eyes are now open wide ... a subtle chuckle ensues - Steve & The Board are measured here ... Jony's charming bullocks grin for the win!!

Jony jokingly says common mates can I work remote now and visit me-mom?! (or do I send the paikees after ya).

All joking aside I'd LOVE to see this occur - especially done tastefully and smooth (knowing full well it wasn't planned but goes off smoothly) and Jony can work remotely.

A new publishing add-on for iLife to blend completely with Podcast Producer that will be native in Lion - oh yeah!! (with our ideas above).

This shouldn't really be a surprise. The BBC has hosted European journalists for the unveiling of Apple products in the past. It was a regular thing not so long ago, before Apple restarted Web broadcasts.

Pedantic time. It's BBC Television Centre. Since it's a name, you should spell it correctly, much like we spell Pearl Harbor in the UK, despite the fact that it's obviously a harbour.

I have to agree.

It's a small point, but it matters. In the UK we refer to it as The World Trade Center, not The World Trade Centre. We're respectful of the US spelling because that is where it is and how it is named. It's BBC Television Centre.

No, I doubt it will be on any BBC channel. The BBC would be accused of showing bias towards a product (Essentially free advertising), something that it is forbidden to do under it's charter

Apple did this once before from memory... for the first iPod that played video. It sounded like it was going to be a huge announcement as they'd roped in BBC TV Centre.

In the end, it just got a mention on BBC news. They did a couple of minutes live from the event and showed the iPod video in action.

I'm hoping this event will be more exciting.

Just like it is MacRumors when it really should be MacRumours! I don't complain when Yanks make these obvious typos, but they should at least spell the right way when they write about our country. ;)

silly question?

So, maybe this is a dumb question with an obvious answer that I don't know how to locate... but exactly when (as in time-wise) is the keynote? and can I stream it from some website? I assume I can...! Thanks!! :)

Does anyone know what channel this will be on? I guess it'll be the BBC news channel, but not 2 and certainly not 1.

As a license payer I'm pretty disgusted at this, how can the BBC endorse a company like this? Especially one as evil as Apple. The BBC's nature is to be open and deliver content based on the charter, Apple is, by essence, the complete opposite, a dictatorship. And the BBC should NOT be endorsing a US company like this either.

I shall be lodging my complaint with the BBC Board.

See my previous post. As a license payer I'm pretty annoyed that bbc.co.uk is full of adverts since they seem to think I'm in America. But the BBC need to make money in other ways (i.e. selling programs to other countries, merchandising) otherwise your TV license would increase.

If you note BBC's article on the iPad2, it doesn't mention the TV centre get together, and is rather impartial. So they were just taking money off Apple for the use of their facilities, the charter would ensure they aren't promoting Apple. Unlike ITV who this week are now allowed to endorse products during programs, putting independent scriptwriting at risk in order to collect the advertisers buck.

They didn't. Apple loaned a room from BBC Productions, who are a commercial company that run the studios from Television Centre. Lots of companies do this. Heck, half of ITV and Channel 4's programmes are filmed in the studios at Television Centre.

Renting out a room is not endorsement.
