Forget the Raybans - let’s see Apple’s answer to the Xreal One (AR) and Bigscreen Beyond 2 (VR).
The competitors tech that lies to me all time, steals copyrighted works, can't give me basic answers that are true, uses more power than the earth can sustain, and tells me it can do something then spits out the same wrong answer over and over again even though I ask for something different? That competitors tech?
The same ones Apple wants to partner with, yes.
Apple as always is late to the game and the phrase of "late but doing right" that's BS.
Apple is lead by old bags, Apple is out of gas, the innovation is dead. Meta Just hired a top AI guy from Apple and Apple didn't even bothered matching the guys pay, Jeff Williams is leaving too; "retiring" right. Apple is in Chaos right now and lots of people are staying for now but as soon as other tech giants level Apple in security and optimize OS, which that will be soon, people will jump.
All that will matter is if customers stop buying their products. That’s the only metric that will count.
Wait five years and if their sales and so share price crashes, then you’ll be proven right.
If that doesn’t happen, you’ll be proven wrong.
At this stage, though, polemics won’t make any difference either way.
Which of these 10 features is not available on an iPhone?Features
Here's what you'll be able to do with Apple's smart glasses, based on what we know so far:
- Take photos
- Record video, including spatial video
- Listen to audio
- Get directions
- Get answers to questions
- Get descriptions of the surroundings
- Identify plants, animals, landmarks and more
- Make phone calls
- Live translation
- Find My integration (not rumored, but likely)
None, but it’s just too difficult to take your phone out of your pocket.Which of these 10 features is not available on an iPhone?
Yep. He’s very “uncanny valley”, but he’s an actual human being, which is very very wierd. It being “played for laughs” doesn’t make it less weird at this point.Defintely so. He was probably redubbed (Melodyne style) and he also looked heavy on botox, almost an avatar. I'd say he was 80% real.
I feel like they will have 3 products going concurrently, with AVP, a AV SE/Air product, and lastly Apple Vision, which is what I’d imagine they name this. I can see them intentionally making it so you can’t record people, or at the very least, a green light would indicate when you are.
Not exactly... because Meta is creepy and doesn't integrate as well with Apple services.So... Exactly what Meta glasses do now?
AirPods don't have a screen.I’m skeptical that Apple will really do this. No display? Seems like not a user friendly product. The reviews for meta ray-bans are mixed.
agree about having a spread of products covering different form factors and uses.I feel like they will have 3 products going concurrently, with AVP, a AV SE/Air product, and lastly Apple Vision, which is what I’d imagine they name this. Yeah you are probably right. It would definitely have some kind of indicator light though.agree about having a spread of products covering different form factors and uses.
But a camera that can't take photos or videos of people would be pretty useless in my opinion. That's the majority of the reasons I take photos and video.
Apple showcased a dad taking videos of his kids as if wearing a bulky headset was totally normal. Spatial video makes some much sense for this product. Something that realistically a person could be wearing and ready to record a cute or candid memory of friends and family.
What? You don't see how clearly obvious the value is. You mean there's a thing people already find valuable enough to go get special setups and you can't understand why someone would want that built into another product they need?I completely agree.
Unless you have mobility issues and can’t hold a camera, what is the benefit of having one strapped to your head at all times? Even if you really need a wearable camera, there are multiple other options all with better image quality.
That’s the thing I don’t trust that bozo Zuckerberg for privacyThis is one of the best use cases I’ve found for the meta raybans, especially when you’re holding them and you can just say “photo” or “video” and you’re capturing memories hands free. When you get your phone out to take a photo they’re immediately distracted by it and stop doing whatever you were trying to capture. With the glasses that’s not a problem. Genuinely good functionality for the price, I’d recommend getting the meta’s now rather than waiting for Apple, baby’s only gonna take their first steps once!
In a country where a president that is off in so many ways has been normalised (re-elected), expect the wildest things to become normal. Camera moving from smartphone to glasses >> definitely gonna happenThat may be one big reason why it WON’T be normalized. This would just seem plain weird in most corporate contexts or even social contexts where you don’t know everyone REALLY well. Sorry, not weird - just downright creepy.
Nailed it! Will do my best to avoid this tech as they’ve colonized enough of our existence. Here's what we can officially confirm:
- Apple's glasses won't be the first but will be the best!
- Apple's glasses are ALL NEW.
- Apple's glasses will feature an ALL NEW chip.
- Apple's glasses will feature a stunning display!
- Apple's glasses will be a game changer, with best-in-class features, and the privacy only Apple can provide.
- Apple's glasses will take things to the next level with ALL DAY battery life.
- Apple can't wait to see the things customers are able to do with the Apple glasses.
- Apple thinks you're gonna love them.
7 is sooooo literal. Apple has not found anything interesting to do with them7. Apple can't wait to see the things customers are able to do with the Apple glasses.
Well Apple knows that its fans dont want innovation because they can't handle the toothing-pains that come with innovation. People mostly gave Samsung pass on the early folds; if Apple had done that the #somethinggate outrage would have eclipsed the jokes Samsung mostly received. If Apple was first to market with an LLM base AI can you imaging the pearlclutching over privacy, content training, and hallucinations. We would never hear the end over how bad that AI was. That recent iPad ad is a great example where Apple was accused of reducing all creative fiends into digital AI.Apple as always is late to the game and the phrase of "late but doing right" that's BS.
