Going outside and to the beach with just Apple Watch and RB Metas is great! I know iPhone is taking better photos/videos, I know Airpods Pro sound better, but it's compromise I am taking gladly.
You have everything you need for emergency contact. More people should reality check how much they depend on having their phones with them. Have fun.

I was looking at the Meta smart glasses and they were like $379 which is reasonable then when I added my prescription lenses, it took the price up to over $1000 so hopefully Apple will figure something to work this out better than Meta otherwise this isn’t gonna work for people with prescription glasses. What would be really cool is if your eyecare provider could just actually update your prescription lenses via software update or through an app.

Yikes -

Well, if the Apple RX version also has pricing that escalates like that, it's DOA for me.

How so? Vision OS is nearly perfect. Needs a feel more upgrades and features and content.
I think the point is that it’s going to be very long time before you will be able to cram hardware capable of running Vision OS, with it’s intended functionality, into a pair of standard, if chunky, spectacle frames. Currently VisionOS needs a M chip, with a second, completely separate processor for driving the sensors and other hardware. And the battery on the Vision Pro is external and roughly iPod classic sized.

All the hardware would need to end up being smaller or at least not greater than a pair airport (without the case). Look at the size of an Apple Watch, and how much they cram inside it. An Apple Watch is not capable of running Vision OS.

Full-fat Vision OS in a pair of glasses isn’t going to happen anytime soon. It may well happen, but it’ll take the best part of a decade at the earliest.

Apple as always is late to the game and the phrase of "late but doing right" that's BS.
Apple is lead by old bags, Apple is out of gas, the innovation is dead. Meta Just hired a top AI guy from Apple and Apple didn't even bothered matching the guys pay, Jeff Williams is leaving too; "retiring" right. Apple is in Chaos right now and lots of people are staying for now but as soon as other tech giants level Apple in security and optimize OS, which that will be soon, people will jump.
Apple is doomed? That is so 1996 of you.

Apple is doomed? That is so 1996 of you.
1996 was a s***y year for apple, board of directors brought back Steve and that was just the start for the upcoming future for apple, with that being said, you and I are in 2025 buddy and unfortunately there's no more
Steve Jobs to bring back.

Well Apple knows that its fans dont want innovation because they can't handle the toothing-pains that come with innovation. People mostly gave Samsung pass on the early folds; if Apple had done that the #somethinggate outrage would have eclipsed the jokes Samsung mostly received. If Apple was first to market with an LLM base AI can you imaging the pearlclutching over privacy, content training, and hallucinations. We would never hear the end over how bad that AI was. That recent iPad ad is a great example where Apple was accused of reducing all creative fiends into digital AI.

To sum up, Apple cant take chances because no one would tolerate that from Apple like they do with other companies.

THAT is why Apple has to wait for more mature technology.
the big problem for us cunsumers but great for Apple to be worth a few trillions of dollars is that Apple has the nerve to continue charge products taking away the essentials for us, delivering products with less features including hardware when the competition already dominate, promising OS features that turns false advertising, the nerve for apple to call AI, Apple Intelligence, the future iPhones are now gonna be build in aluminum after feeding us all over the media with titanium..... Apple has gone far beyond as a greedy company.

All that will matter is if customers stop buying their products. That’s the only metric that will count.

Wait five years and if their sales and so share price crashes, then you’ll be proven right.

If that doesn’t happen, you’ll be proven wrong.

At this stage, though, polemics won’t make any difference either way.
The problem are sum of the ztup1d "loyal" consumers as well, starting with ijustine, if Apple release a Tim Cook bottle fart limited edition tomorrow, I guarantee you sir, that ijustine will be the first one to place an order.
is very unfortunate that even if a campaign is form to boycott apple by not buying 1 single product, it won't happen, why? because of people like ijustine always praising Apple for d-mb products decisions.

The titanium was only a coating over the aluminum frame so not much is changing by going back to an aluminum frame. I remember when Powerbooks went from plastic to titanium and then aluminum. Apple has always cycled through different materials and the fact that almost everything hey make has an aluminum case it was pretty obvious they would go back to aluminum at some point.

It could be that, but it’s far more likely that people do like the products Apple make, so they buy them.

What’s the last thing you bought to eat? Did you buy it because A) you like eating that thing, or B) because you are a mindlesss sheep manipulated by an evil corporation?

The “holier than thou” act kinda falls apart when you apply it to your own buying habits, doesn’t it?

I have no problem with what people spend their own money on. I do have a problem with people thinking they have the right to tell other people what to think.

In this way you’re doing exactly the same thing as „ijustine”.

Here's what we can confirm:

1. It will be priced fairly, at 3x other glasses, and have features that came out years ago because... Apple

2. It will require a proprietary dongle to wirelessly connect to your phone

3. The battery will last all day, but the charger will cost the same amount as your phone

4. Privacy... Is truly their #1 concern

I'm not your buddy, pal. lol. And my point is there is no need for the doom and gloom, we don't need Steve back like we did in 1996 when Gil was running the company (into the ground). Tim is doing a fine job, not an amazing job, but a fine one. Most of your complains are based on an idealized company that is altruistic to is customers. Those companies don't exist. Apple has issues, yes. But name a large company without some sort of issues. And there were issues when Steve was here too. It is the nature of the beast.

I'm certainly not your compadre either fella lol; someway, somehow Apple will learn, it is not the first rodeo for apple as far as going down the hill.

When was the last time your favorite restaurant that makes your favorite dish, went completely wrong? did you told the manager about it?

if yes, you still complained to the manager about your bad experience hoping that they can fix it;

if No, you left disappointed and probably with a stomach bug and how long is it been since you went back to try to get your favorite dish risking your money and experience???

People will spend their money on whatever they want but other people will spend money wisely.

ijustine is brainwashed by Apple's cult; would I listen to her "advices" or "recommendations" absolutely NOT, NEVER.

Do I have the money to buy 2 or 3 of the upcoming iPhone 17 pro? Absolutely yes.
Do I need it? heck no, why would I buy the same phone twice? my 14PM is still doing good.

I don’t know who iJustine is. I’m guessing they’re some YouTube ‘reviewer’ that does videos about Apple products, and they’re in the circle of reviewers who enthusiastically reformat the PR material of the product, calling it a review?

They are about as annoying as the smug and self-righteous Android cult members who reflexively hate on Apple and insult all Apple users.

Neither rusted-on Apple fans, nor reflexive Apple haters are in short supply. As usual, the truth is somewhere in between.

Judging by the posts of yours I’ve seen, I can’t imagine you liking much, if anything, Apple has done lately.

just a man, that was introduced to Apple since the beginning of iPhone. if you wanna know how I kinda feel about apple, Samsung etc. go search "Floss Carter" on YouTube and watch the beginning of the latest Samsung phones, you'll find out.

I really don’t understand the appeal of this or ‘smartglasses’ that are just cameras and earbuds at all.

And all the “AI” stuff won’t make any difference because what people want from it is just not possible with LLMs or GANs.

If they want wider Apple VR/AR adoption I would just make a AVP cheaper like people say but also just outsource the computer to a Mac. Yeah you need a cable and you’ll need a Mac already but just make it a retractable or something and how many people are going to buy a Apple VR headset who don’t own a Mac?

Trying to compete with Meta on something like this feels insanely dumb.
