Apple today updated its Apple Sports app for the iPhone with several enhancements, including improved navigation, broadcast information for nationally-televised games in the U.S., and support for additional soccer leagues.

The release notes for version 2.4 of Apple Sports:
• The Apple Sports soccer lineup keeps getting bigger with the FA Cup, EFL Championship, and League Cup.
• Navigating between your favorites is even faster now. Swipe left or right to browse all of the leagues and teams you follow.
• Tune in to all the national games with broadcast information now available on game pages.
Launched in February 2024, the Apple Sports app shows scores, stats, standings, upcoming games, and more for a variety of leagues, such as the NFL, MLB, MLS, NBA, NHL, Premier League, and others. The free iPhone app is available in the App Store.

I'm not reinstalling this until you can disable notifications. Really don't understand that.

Can they fix not showing betting odds at all when I turn off Hide Betting Odds in settings?

The ability to find a players past game stats and the ability to see all of the future games a specific team has scheduled are the two last features I need to completely drop ESPN app from my iPhone. (I still dont understand how buggy and slow the ESPN app is on my iPhone 16 Pro Max)

I basically use the Apple Sports app for 80% of my sports usage now

It's so nice to have occasional updates to this app that bring useful features. (I wish all of Apple's apps would be on a CI schedule instead of a WWDC schedule...)

As others mention, give me an option to NOT show results of a given game. Sometimes some of us have other things to do, and want to enjoy a recording of a specific game.

Maybe a quick tap on my phone or watch when we get the warning that the game is about to begin, let me mute the specific game events.

You can just swipe the live activity to the left to dismiss it like any other notification.

This is one of those apps I didn’t know about that is now one of my favorites. All other sports apps are betting first they seem. I favorite my teams, see upcoming schedule and stats. It’s nice and clean and I can have it live update on my Lock Screen. I appreciate the lack of junk poured into it.

Details matter.
NBA games need to show how many attempted and made 3 pt shots...not just the percentage.
The ESPN app shows this, but hate all the ads.
