The work from home movement is obviously very early and the repercussions for not adapting will not be felt right away. Not a hard concept to grasp.

if you’d like examples of companies that died out because they didn’t adapt to changes in society I suggest you look up Blockbuster, Blackberry, or just about any bookstore. Sure these aren’t like for like comparisons, but it’s an example of how being stuck in an old school mindset can destroy you.
The bolded 100%. What is going to happen when companies are hiring any more employees? Where does that leave the WFH at all costs crowd.

The same place it leaves the non- wfh crowd? If businesses aren’t hiring, then they aren’t hiring.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m sure you’ll always be able to find someone willing to work for you, that doesn’t mean they will be talented or well qualified individuals. Maybe you own a Wendy’s franchise and this type of thing doesn’t matter to you.
As someone who is going through the hiring process now I can say that determining the right person is judged at the interview and CV review stage. Some are qualified and talented and some aren’t. I had no idea what Wendy’s was but don’t assume someone who doesn’t support all staff working from home all the time somehow owns a fast food restaurant.

Some people aren’t allowed to access files remotely due to sensitive content. In my line we work with the ministry of defence and also automotive clients where NDA’s state drawings are not allowed to be viewed outside of the department. It’s not something I work on all the time but I make sure I’m at the office when I do.

The non-wfh already have a job and for WFH is this is a sticking point you either have to modify your expectations or do something about it.
So in this situation, all non - wfh people have taken all the jobs and there are no openings left for those who only want work from home? Go check out how many wfh options there are on indeed and LinkedIn…

On a global scale LinkedIn isn’t a barometer. And it’s just my opinion anyway and I believe this will shake out in the coming months.
