I hope they announce a new Mac Pro with slots. I'm 1-2 months away from switching to a Windows PC, otherwise. I'll just take my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription to Windows. I want that new nVidia video card.
What's wrong with the music?Cool video, shame they had to use that horrible music. thankfully i can mute the audio.
We already know we’re getting a modular, upgradable Mac Pro with display next year. Hopefully there’s a sneak peek on 30/10!I hope they announce a new Mac Pro with slots. Airpods 2. Airpods 2. Airpods 2.
Nothing else interests me from the list of possibilities.
So 10:00AM EST is 7:00AM PST (aren't I smart?). Ya gotta be a real diehard Apple fanto wanna watch this thing that early in the morning in CA.
Come to think of it, this event seems unusually larger than usually, especially with the marketing they have put in with the more than 350 logos. That’s a large amount press. I suspect we might see at least a sneak preview of the Mac Pro to keep the momentum going until WWDC 2019.
Really wonder why they are doing it on the east cost instead of "at home" on the Apple Campus. Nice to see it coming though.
I've been thinking the same thing - with it being held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music there must be some music related announcement they are making, not sure what though. Could be just airpods? Just an overall creativity focused theme with music wrapped into it??

Logic Pro X 11.0 update with a new sampler and dedicated Logic sample pad controller. Please?!?
Oh yes, I completely agree with you.sorry to say, but using imac or even a newer mac mini and photoshop or affinity photos or final cut pro it is far easier to create things
It’s time they step up. Reason, Fruity Loops and Ableton all have their own. Not to mention selling virtual instruments specifically for it. Its such a pain to configure a controller to work with Logic. Constantly looking for a work around. The iPad doesn’t have velocity sensitivity, so that doesn’t work. I feel like Apple could really fill a huge void by making there own midi controllers. They already rule the music sales world, why not gives us better tools to create that music instead of depending on other companies? Well, I’ll be dreaming for that day to come! Hopefully soonthe 'making' in the invite suggests to me that they are going to be talking about creation tools. and perhaps something in terms of education like perhaps something with their 'today at apple' stuff. an arts focused school fits with that. as does a new iPad pro, pencil (hopefully a keyboard updated to not fail every 3 months) perhaps updates to iMovie and garage band on iOS and those plus the pro apps on Mac OS

i doubt they would make a pad controller but perhaps an iPad app that could work as one.
it was for you, but for those that use photoshop, final cut pro and so on, the ipad pro is 0 for them...maybe, just maybe, the ipad will be a go go when full photoshop will come to ipad...and who knows, maybe final cut proOh yes, I completely agree with you.
But Apple doesn’t
Bought an iPad Pro when it was released and was hoping for it to be more of a MacBook replacement that it actually was.
Nice.
Now let’s see some 2018 desktop Mac leaks, please.
Cool video, shame they had to use that horrible music. thankfully i can mute the audio.
What's wrong with the music?
It's just relatively standard prog/fusion. Good guitar playing, if nothing else.
Cook is traveling...not sure if he’s back yet, but he might flight through NYC from Europe.
For some reason, this seems like a bit too much for a simple iPad event. The theatrical layout / building, it's not a typical small stage presentation. Then the fact that it's in New York. I think there might be more in store.
Also waiting for that to happen , but starting to doubt now because so close to the launch still nothing has leaked about a new design, so probably only spec updatesI wonder if Apple will release a redesigned iMac.
well, they will probably release a new Mac Mini and that should render the old Mac Pro completely obsolete. Therefore I think they will at least show the new Mac Pro if they release the Mini.Come to think of it, this event seems unusually larger than usually, especially with the marketing they have put in with the more than 350 logos. That’s a large amount press. I suspect we might see at least a sneak preview of the Mac Pro to keep the momentum going until WWDC 2019.
actually, there are two bridges a short distance awayTim's one last thing?: "This is really exciting, there's a bridge a short distance away, it's really wonderful and it's priced at....."![]()
He's in Europe...I don't know his schedule, but he actually might spend the night in NYC versus flying to California and flying back for the event. It all depends on how long he's in Europe. So yeah, they might have a reason for having him stay in NYC. He knows so many people, there might be additional meetings he needs to have in NYC.I hope you are being sarcastic. They aren't doing their third biggest event of the year, which they started planning six or likely more months ago, to coincide with a stop over on the CEO's flight schedule.

Definitely more than an iPad event. New York is the media capital of the U.S. So there will be potentially even more coverage of this event than if it was in Apple's headquarters.
I think folks are reading too much into the name of the venue being an opera house. I suspect they started with "We want to do something in NYC", then started looking for sites. Realized Brooklyn was "cool" and then figured out that BAM was cool and had a set up that was big enough and nice enough looking to fit their needs.
