To give Apple its due its refurbs are checked more than the new and I note suggestions they are all machines previously used is not correct. They sell inventory too, and on occasions even a boxed Apple where the box has been dented or holed they take the whole lot for rechecking and Quality Control ensures its received more attention than a new device and they stand by the warranty to prove it.

No doubt some may have been returned where its easier to swap out to keep customers happy, and then that machine too will undergo extensive checks.

Imagine all the 7 color 24” iMacs being displayed in every Apple store, and now they need space for new Mx iMacs - I hope so. So they all selling them as re- packaged, refurbished.

err anyone else concerned that these have broken so quickly that they're already refurbed?
Could have been a review, or demonstration item. With my ridiculous history of early, or day one product failures from Apple , I would not read anything into this.

Just in time for Apple to release the M1 imacs in Indonesia, with the base 2-port 256GB version for $1500.... Yeah no thanks Apple. :(

Americans speak so funny… "purchased", "refurbished". Just say that it is used, something that someone bought and returned.
There is a huge difference between “preowned”/“used” and “refurbished”. Words matter.
