I think this would be a nice feature for many MacRumors members. That being said, I check the stock market all the time anyway, so it would be useless for me. Many others would find it of value though.

Hi
I want to support the company. How do i buy AAPL?

You can purchase shares through your investment advisor. through an online trading company (i.e. e-trade), or through a discount brokerage if your financial institution has one available. I do 90% of all my trading myself through my online account via my financial institution, and use my broker for special offerings I would not otherwise have access to, such as IPOs, flow through entities, convertible debentures, etc.

I like this idea. Not all of us have 10.4 some are still on 10.3, also sometimes view macrumors on public computers. I would like this idea.

Sorry guys, I agree, new tar sucks. I was hoping someone would recognise the images and get the joke;)
Slutty girls of MySpace?

Anyway, I wouldn't mind as long as it's out of the way for those of us who don't care.

Not sure that I would want the Apple stock price on the min page. I had/have the money to invest since late last year. I cried a bit since I did not invest earlier this year with the rise in Apple stock on the announcement of "Boot Camp".

But in my hearts of hearts know that if I had invested in Apple that instead of their stock gaining, it would have lost in value. Hey, I am among those that losing value in a single pick, can have major ramifications in my liquidity.

I guess this is reason that I hate going to casinos. :) I can't stand the depression when I lost money.

I vote no on prop "APPL quote." MR's front page shouldn't try to be all things to all people. That's what Yahoo does and all it does is dilute the content that people are actually coming to yahoo to find. There are more than enough super easy ways to see Apple's stock price so that it shouldn't be forced on the entire population of MR visitors, the majority of which I suspect do not hold Apple stock. However, it would be totally appropriate to put Apple's stock ticker in the "Apple, Industry and Internet Discussion" forum.

I don't hold stocks, but the stocks are show me how well the company is doing. I would like to see it, even though I don't have stocks.
