I went to check the status on my order just right now. I am only supposed to be charged 59.43 which is the tax for my iPhone 6s plus att 64 gb..... I chose next 12 for 42.50 a month for 20 months. Apple order details show them charging me 908.43 the full price for the phone plus the tax. Here are the 2 screen shots below. I called apple and escalated to a supervisor and they said its effected a couple of customers that did att next on Apple Store and there is a fix in for it. Anyone else in this scenario have this issue ?

Same thing happened to me... I did a web chat with an Apple employee and she said it's a problem with communication. She told me not to worry about it, and that the order will be made correctly :/

No, but she did tell me it would eventually be corrected.... Here's to hoping haha

It almost happened to me yesturday at 3am I was trying to get in kept saying AT&T server down at Apple. When I get in first time it had me under full price rather than next had to do everything like 10 times over to finally get it right
 
Just checked mine & it did the same thing.. Confirmation email shows $59 but the order showed $908.. Chatted with Apple customer service.. At first they said it showed the order was done at full retail.. Then she did some more digging and found the original order was done on the Next Plan.. Said she would have to submit the change to their back office & I'll get an email within 48 hours showing the change. Also that it won't reset my place in the queue.. Here's hoping

I see.....Yeah I got a supervisor looking into mine and they are going to contact me when it's corrected.

I'm having the same issue - spoke with Apple support and they are aware of the issue and took my email and phone down to contact me before it is shipped to resolve it. They said its happening to some of their orders...
 
Know that even at att the receipts show the total price of the phone being paid but what you are actually charged on your card is the taxes. This could be the same case. For accounting purposes it shows that the devices is being fully paid off but details the installment

Yeah I was thinking that originally, til I noticed in my confirmation email it showed $0.00 for the phone + free shipping, then the tax.. And the order on apples site said $849 + free shipping plus tax
 
Same situation happened to me... after I called to have them change my billing email address (old college email thats been off since 2008ish). Mine shows the full price 849+tax whereas my wife's shows 0+tax. I paid for my phone with apple pay on apple app and was immediately charged Tax on my CC, wife's ordered on apple app with same CC, no apple pay with only $1 hold showing up. Called apple and they are escalating up to a supervisor, as above I am supposed to get an email when the problem is resolved. The agent assured me that I would still get my phone on 9/25... Not sure if Apple Pay + Apple Store App is the issue...
 
Have the same issue...they told me to call back on Monday if the problem does not fix itself (which I hope it does :))
 
I believe this to be normal. The receipt will show the entire amount of the device you're purchasing since that's what you're paying tax on. They'll charge you the sales tax at the time of shipping, and the rest will go on your at&t plan.

Same thing happens on receipts at at&t stores. Full retail price shows being price paid, however only sales tax gets actually charged.
