You can if you want to do the next thing. But if you want the 6 for the $199 price, you gotta wait till your upgrade date

I see my only fear is not getting the phone launch day. I have heard a lot of sorties of people who preorder not getting the phone and it being says sometimes a week before they got it.

It's somehow funny - Apple is aligning this process to their location. Preordering starts when it is the 12th in Cupertino. But it's exactly this alignment to the Cupertino time zone which makes it so difficult for Americans. We Europeans can conveniently preorder at 9am. Doesn't seem fair. ;)

I'm moving to San Diego soon though, so I guess I can enjoy the experience of middle-of-the-night preordering then as well.
 
Queueing for instore pickup

In the UK last year you had to queue up too pick up the iPhone 5s. This year they are doing pre-order and pickup instore. Is there any chance that I could go to the apple store next friday when its released and queue up and get one or is it pre-order for instore pickup only?
