I honestly wouldn't bother except I've been wanting to change carriers for 6 months and I don't want to have to wait another 2 because they get back-ordered. I've been waiting for this phone to come out so I can get on Verizon.
I want to personally pick it up in store after buying it online.
can someone tell me whats the procedure?
is there any waiting in the store? or I just come and take?
Thanks!
It was a few years ago that I did it but pre-orders had a separate line at the Apple store. They took people from both lines simultaneously but the pre-order line went pretty fast because they were pre-processed. If you show up an hour or two after they open the pre-order line might even be gone and you won't have to wait. Those without pre-orders had a long slow line. You had until closing to pick up your order.I want to personally pick it up in store after buying it online.

I do not watch commercials. And I am currently in the UAE, on my way to the pool. It is rather hot here, so it is going to be a good late morning swim. Good day.
According to a MacRumors article, as well as my own chat with an online sales rep on Apple's website, they'll have some phones for those who wait in line on a first come first serve basis. Those who pre-order and select to do in-store pickup will be able to go at 8AM (or whenever your local Apple Store opens) and stand in the line. Once they get to you in the line, you give them your identification, card used for the purchased, and probably some email or form with numbers all over it. After that, they give you your phone, activate it, and send you on your way.
Either that or everything goes wrong and the world ends

So it wasn't that bad.
I'm going with delivery which is agonizing because I know it won't show up until 3PM but at least I don't have to schlep down to the store.
You cannot get the iPhone 6 tonight.
I think over the two year time it will end up costing you ALOT more.Im hopefully going for a 16gb 6 Gold on Verizon. Just got a 4s before they announced the new phones. I know it was stupid but hey I needed a phone. Going to add a line with verizon, then move the 6 to the 4s line, and trade in the iPhone 4s to pay off the iPhone 6 on the credit card. Hopefully that will work, since verizon is giving $200 trade in value on older models. Hopefully apple will let me add a line.
Pre-orders go and go. Eventually people start seeing delivery dates later than the 19th. One week, then two weeks. Eventually they cut it off. It could be 8 hours, it could be 2 days before they cut it off. It depends on demand and supply obviously. How likely do you think they are to get backordered? And how soon does pre-order usually end?
no, if you make it to checkout you'll be goodDo you guys think now is a good time to put my credit card info into the payment section of anywhere? In the app is that even possible?
My AT&T contract officially ends on the 22nd and the upgrade eligibility tool on Apple.com said I was good to go for the lower price.
So that's a little hope for you? May as well wait the 45 minutes and find out!
Try to double check, but in a previous year if you pre-ordered your phone is reserved. Come to think of it I think you had 2-3 days to pick it up, not just one. It's not a bad way to go if you don't want to have to wait around for the fedex guy. Thanks!
I can go to the apple store only after 4 PM so if my phone is not guaranteed then I will continue with the delivery![]()
True, the 6s will be out next year most likely with image stabilization like the plus. And seems like getting more space is better, too, especially if I'm going to be taking more slo mo videos.think of it this way, you only have to live with your decision for 1 year because next year something better will be out and you'll have to do it all over.
And to answer your other question... if you need it. Look up questions like "is 2 gigs of ram enough or should i get 4gb" and replace the word ram with "Memory" hah
Yep, oops!U mean 128GB.
I think over the two year time it will end up costing you ALOT more.
That's why I did a screenshot earlier this week
Don't feel like sifting through 11 pages to see if someone asked this question...
Is it possible to add two phones and upgrade two separate lines in one checkout process?
i'm curious if Apple will set the new record for most selling iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus this time.![]()
