I have prepared my bank account for impending ruin.
For this one, you might want to prepare your bank for a massive heist. One account may not be enough. ?

Doesn’t Store go down because new product will be available when it reopens?Still sounds very much like a 'peek' of what's to come later in the year rather than new hardware being available to pre-order immediately. I can't see why else they would have used this tagline.
Hope I am wrong, obviously. We all want shiny new hardware that we don't really need.
Yes, the iPhone SE & iPad Air are certs.Doesn’t Store go down because new product will be available when it reopens?
I think new hardware will be available today.
Has the length of time it is down ever correlated with number of changes/new products/anything else?Shutting down the store this early seems like a record for time. I'm accustomed to this happening about 1 or so hour(s) before, not nearly 6. Is there going to be MANY changes today?
I agree.I am excited for the event to finish and Apple to roll out their SW updates ?
Yes, correct. There will be new products announced and ready for order today--I'd bet a week's worth of steak dinners on that.Doesn’t Store go down because new product will be available when it reopens?
I think new hardware will be available today.
Exactly, it has always amazed me that it only says “We’re making updates to the Apple Store. Check back soon.”The thing is, if they only wanted to build hype, they would put a direct link of the event on the page of the store while it’s down. Except Apple enthusiasts like on MR, people don’t associate the store being down with an Apple event. And it doesn’t make sens to build hype only for the (still narrow) Apple enthusiasts community
Maybe they really need this time to update their store, they have a lot of different Apple Store websites in different countries to update at the same time
Waterfield Designs has you "covered".The only thing I look forward to at this moment is a proper sleeve for my nMBP16.
Thanks Apple.
That would be great, but I'm picking the new display will max out at 60Hz. Very high refresh rates are only of real benefit to gamers, and Apple is not a serious gaming platform. 60Hz is enough for industry-standard video content. If Apple comes out with a retina 144Hz+ refresh rate display, I'll be all over it. I've been trying to get my hands on an EVE Spectrum 4k 144Hz monitor for months to no avail..! I can't believe there aren't ANY other manufacturers out there that make a 4k 144Hz monitor with full USB-C "one cable" docking solutions-- crazy!
Sorry but hard for me to get excited for this given current events. Just my opinion.
only McIntosh applesI wonder how good the food is at these events...
