Apple Store Down - White iPhone On the Way?

I think it's more iOS oriented, so i guess with the release of Lion it will all fit? I was expecting something more minimal for the next step, something more like the App Store. And i've always wondered why there is no iPhone/iPad optimized version of the website? After all it's Apple's official website🙂

It's quite clean and minimalistic IMO. Less scrolling and shorter steps to accomplish the same tasks... I like it.

I really can't stand it when people make claims about things that they say will or won't or can't happen when they haven't the slightest idea just like the rest of us, but I just can't see this happeneing. I mean, there are still apps being updated for retina display and developers just had to revamp the resolutions for their iPad apps. I don't know... just my $.02.

Well they do have and app, but its just the store.
Also one of the main points of the original iphone was that it could view full html-rich websites.

No, I am a newbie. I still get very excited every time the Apple store goes down. I still dream about all the new products I don't need but will probably end up buying anyway.

Yeah. That's true. But it would be nice to see a major change on the design skipping the glossy thing and the reflections, something more flat. I guess there will be further changes in the store look. But still no iPhone/iPad version of the website.
 
Store still down in France. That is three and a half hours.

Either a very big update, or else a problem with the site?

Yes the app is great. But if it's about the full html experience why they did an app for the store anyway?
 
Is it weird that the Apple site doesn't show a white iPhone on my iMac?
