Went in just to see how the launch was going and nobody was in line, just the 20 people who were picking up. It was sad and great to see. Sad being everybody might be holding out for the 10 and going to make our lifes hell, or the split launch is really going to help all iphone buyers out this year. How was your local store?

I guess Summit Mall in Akron did have a line but I didn't see it. I preordered mine, got there early to pick up and the store was just its normal self. Busy but not crazy.
See i wish all all launch's were like that....If they go back to 2 models next year, the 10 and 10plus then split launch them! but only 1 week apart.....make all our lifes better...
Honestly lines have not been as long due to how easy it is to preorder and get the phones sent to home. Why would I want to go stand in line when I can sit in my couch, drink beer and wait for fed ex to get there.
Cause a lot are like me, have to have it at 8am..lol 2 years ago mine came weeks after launch day Pee order shipped. Last year I camped out and was second to get on Launch day..
you can walk into the best buy by me right now and pick up any model of this travesty
seriously i picked one up for my wife today...i just don't get it...its the same phone as last year + wireless charging and a couple of other things most people couldnt care less about. i get that this is basically the "S" model...but still...with the backdrop of the X which is a complete redesign, it just seems so dumb.
I got an 8 today no prob. For me I like the fingerprint scanner and can care less about bezels so it worked out good for me.

It can’t be any crazier then past years launch. The 8’s launch just took away millions from the processs. Plus you guys live for these days! Lol
Quite a few people have mentioned that they're just going to use the 8 series for a month and a half til the X comes out.
Now that’s down right cheating! They should Definitely be put in the back of the bus for pre order..lol
Same processor as the X
Same graphics chip as the X
Same camera as the X
If you're gonna like the X over the 7 chances are you'd like the 8 over the 7. I don't ge you statement that it's the same as last year. If that's true you're gonna be disappointed with your X. If it's not true many people will like the 8.
I have an S8+ with the same fabulous OLED screen as the X will be and it's not making think it's the Jesus phone.
Apple store in mall in NJ packed at 11am. You could see boxes of various products being given to customers.
