How do you do an exchange if the store is out of stock for the entire 14 day return period?
I'm going to return the phone I have within the 14 day period since it has a dead pixel. I'll use a backup phone, but the 6S Plus now ships in 2-3 weeks at the online Apple Store. I can only imagine stock improving quickly.

It's definitely NOT just 8am every day. It wasn't last year, it's not this year.

I've got a script scraping their stock every minute of the day for a colleague and we got a spree of emails from it this morning between 9:40am and 10:25am with availability.

Care to share the script?

Just an update for anyone curious, I was watching http://www.istocknow.com/live/ yesterday out of curiosity. The local stores in my area had no 64gb Space Gray 6S+ yesterday morning, but around 2pm local time received some stock. I was able to reserve and picked up my phone at 7pm last night.

So it is possible they will receive a shipment later in the day it seems. Good luck to everyone.

I'm curious to know if they have set aside a different stock of phones for walk-in customers, or do they show everything that they have on the online reservation?

istocknow.com has the listing for Apple Stores. I used it last year and it was accurate. This year it looks the same. The easiest way to use is click the live map and it will have all the Apple Stores on it.

Would like to know this as well. Since I've heard they don't take stock questions over the phone.

From my experience the reservation inventory is the same as walk-in inventory. I would check the reservation system around 8 am and around 12-3 pm since they may get shipments during that time. I was able to pick up SG 64GB plus on Monday, which wasn't available at 8 am.

The past 2 years,it's been at 10PM ET. That's when we all rushed to Apple site to see what was available locally. You can go back to the prior 2 releases and verify the discussion on this forum. YMMV for the 6S.
