Yes, you can do that online yourself. Just order the phone you want and in the next few days return the old phone.

I'm going to return the phone I have within the 14 day period since it has a dead pixel. I'll use a backup phone, but the 6S Plus now ships in 2-3 weeks at the online Apple Store. I can only imagine stock improving quickly.How do you do an exchange if the store is out of stock for the entire 14 day return period?
It's definitely NOT just 8am every day. It wasn't last year, it's not this year.
I've got a script scraping their stock every minute of the day for a colleague and we got a spree of emails from it this morning between 9:40am and 10:25am with availability.
Would like to know this as well. Since I've heard they don't take stock questions over the phone.I'm curious to know if they have set aside a different stock of phones for walk-in customers, or do they show everything that they have on the online reservation?
From my experience the reservation inventory is the same as walk-in inventory. I would check the reservation system around 8 am and around 12-3 pm since they may get shipments during that time. I was able to pick up SG 64GB plus on Monday, which wasn't available at 8 am.Would like to know this as well. Since I've heard they don't take stock questions over the phone.
