I want to know exactly how Apple knows I'm in the store. What exactly is Apple pulling from my GPS/Wi-Fi or other system to be able to tell I'm at that location? As far as I'm concered my phone isn't pumping out my location unless I specifically open an application with location services.

If you allow an app to use location services, it MAY register for significant change updates. This means "when you chance cell towers" or "when you change wi-fi hotspots". So, Apple doesn't "suck anything", they just say that there has been a SIGNIFICANT location change.

Yeah I would love it for the UK. I hate it when I have a genius appointment and you have like an awkward chat about like saying how you are there.

Just say "I have a genius bar appointment for my Mac" obviously change mac to whichever product needs service.

Awesome... the check-in process was always confusing. Every time I've gone in for an appointment, there was a long line for people to buy/check-out, but to check-in for an appointment you had to try and grab a person at the bar or on the floor. And the "Now serving" list on the genius bar screens were not working the last several times I was there.

I'm glad to see they're listening to some of the feedback and trying to make improvements to the experience.

i wonder how many engravings are gonna be wrong because someone didn't check the auto correct on the iphone:D

off subject, but i like store apps that recognize when you walk in then pop up specials and sales. i went to express the other day and they had a great deal i only could have got with an iphone

11am?

Anyone else notice the time in the status bar is 1:45PM and it's asking "John" to check in for an 11:00 AM appointment?
