I just got off the phone-
They are going to order me one tomorrow with the AG screen.

Thank you for your comments/advice/opinions everyone. It really helped urge me forward to try and see if I could get the antiglare model.

Thanks again!

I'm glad to hear that everything has been resolved to your satisfaction, enjoy your new MacBook Pro. :)

I'm pretty sure the system won't let them do anything other than the default specifications, as in this case your computer's info in the system itself will say something along the line of MBP 15.4/2.2/2X2GB/500/SD/GLSSY where the last thing describes the screen. My old computer's tag said AG. Anyway, my point is since the system says GLSSY, they can only replace it with glossy to keep track of stock or something like that.

The only reason I know is because I've actually asked this before.

I see thank you very much for that information:)

How did the conversation go? Were they helpful?

I called my local store and explained the situation, e.g. that I was offered an exchange, however the unit I was given did not have antiglare as my old one did, and I specifically ordered my old one special order because I wanted/needed that option. I explained that I use my computer in an environment that is susceptible to glare, and I also really miss the higher resolution.
After doing that, the agent asked to put me on hold, and then transferred me to what I assume was a manager, who said he was going to make sure I was ordered a Antigalre/High Resolution monitor, and I gave him my information.
Now, I play the waiting game until the employee in charge or ordering calls me tomorrow to make sure everything is correct.

Good for you.. I believe this is the 'proper' solution, and perhaps the Sales Person was not thinking clearly, or was happy to see you happily walk away as such and figured all was well.. I do think Apple is OK with making you happy here!!:apple:
