I agree. Apple unprepared for this yet again. Maybe they shouldn't do this midnight launches if their tech people aren't prepared or in the server room.

Dunno, but it's not an option for me. Buying through Apple is the only way to get a truly unlocked phone.

Interesting. So, I was getting unavailable on the iPhone app, and people were saying they got through on the iPad (really, what could be different between using the two).

Low and behold, I go on the iPad app, and get through, and show availability on a VZN, 128GB, iP6+. Ultimately, I get a reservation number since VZN is apparently down.

Unfortunately, no email confirmation yet.

So I finally got a 128GB Silver AT&T in my cart on the iPhone app... kept throwing errors after entering validation info, but went through after 4 times. Then just said "we have reserved a phone for you." They couldn't contact the AT&T server to verify anything, so I'm "reserved." But no email.

Gave up on Apple Store app after trying tons of times on both the iPhone and iPad. Apple Store Website is completely down.

Finally got through on Verizon's website for a 64GB Silver iPhone 6 coming on the 19th!

You do realize apple sells millions in the first weekend, right? That's not low- Heyer literally unable to keep up with demand on their supply chain. It's not a market tactic; they'd sell more if they could.

Limited inventory is one thing, not getting launch right is another. In my experience, they open the doors at midnight on console launch and the consoles are right there for the taking.

There are reports of apple preparing lots of stock so that supply will not be constrained like it has been in the past
