I just called the Troy store in MI and the lady on the phone said "We have a few 16GB iPod Touches in stock."

yeah this is not a hoax, i also spoke to the rep at the michigan store directly, who said she had several 16 GB ipods, i don't think the apple retail employees would risk playing this type of prank, they would definitely be fired once people started showing up because of their claims

Confirmed Troy, Michigan has stock. The previous claim about Soho having stock isn't true, they said they don't have any tet. My local store doesn't though, hopefully by tomorrow morning and I'll run out as fast as I can.

Well, two people have said it, making it seem believable. Plus, there's the news about them shipping later this week. But, you could be right. Let's hope not, though.

lol yeah someone has been planning this for a while, slowly building up like 4 accounts with post counts then having them all chime in to say that they called and it was in stock.

And we are all just too lazy to call ourselves.

I can confirm the 16gb is in stock at the SoHo Apple Store. I have held it in my hand and I'll buy purchasing it in a few minutes.

They have them at the Woodfield store in Chicago also. I just came back and was suprised to see 4 16GB Touches on display and in stock. They said they didn't have any 8GB yet.
