iPhone 15 Pro Apple Store warns not to use Android USB-C to prevent overheating

I don't have, nor will have an iPhone 15, My scheduled replacement will be the 16. I am wondering has anyone switched out the USB "C" for a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable to charge the 15. If it is the USB "C" cable using a compatible Thunderbolt cable would be a good test.

I’ve tried multiple types of chargers and cables over the years, from cheap “no name” to official Apple. Based on that experience, I’ve standardized on Anker chargers and cables. I especially like the Anker braided cables, the only ones that could survive any length of time when used by my grandchildren or wife. The only exception are the watch chargers where I stick with Apple. Just wish Apple sold the braided Apple Watch charging cables separately.

I use a TB4 cable from day one for charging.
