Just remember that if a town reports just one person having definitively gotten this disease... That person got it from someone else, who got it from someone else, who got it from someone else... Etc. So a reported case of "one" likely means there's hundreds (if not thousands) already infected.
Most people don't go to see a doctor when they're ill.
I haven't met anyone yet who has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

So is exercise considered "non-essential" or is our health not really important? You can't even go out for a walk or jog around the neighborhood?

Correct. But let’s not pretend there aren’t other ways to exercise at home.

It is certainly uncomfortable, but that’s expected.

This is quite the lifestyle change here in CA, yikes. Hanging out in my house with wife and two kids for three weeks? Now that is dystopian, lol.
Especially in a San Francisco-size house, which is probably about 1,000 sq ft?

Well 101 was free flowing at rush hour today... although every grocery in San Jose is barren. My kids are so excited.... I brought home oreos and chips for dinner. Lol

Exercise is permitted. From the SFChronicle article:
The directive allows for people to go outside — and in fact, health officers encouraged people to run, hike and walk their dogs, as long as they do it alone or with close family, and keep 6 feet away from others. Trails and parks are open, but people cannot gather in groups. Recreation centers and clubhouses are closed.

Anyone really think any Apple stores will reopen in 2 weeks?

I agree with @newyorksole. Two weeks is merely a preliminary guideline to reassess rather Apple will move forward with opening stores. It’s kind of like the same guideline that a lot of state governors are using right to Reassess the situation in April. I don’t think two weeks really means anything, because it’s such a delicate situation that is so dynamic that doesn’t really have _any_ form of containment/idling.

What a crazy situation... so unbelievable that we are living through the right now. I still can’t believe it. It felt like it was yesterday when I was celebrating Christmas and the holidays...

Many people will want to write off this first year in the new decade as having never happened because of COVID-19. Many will want to wish for a do over. I can easily imagine 2021 and maybe even 2022 as being the “lost years,” as being the years where, in our minds, we replaced 2021/22 as basically being 2020. Time moves on, whether we care or not, but emotionally and intellectually, we will still be thinking of 2020, even though the year reads 2021/2022 everywhere else.

Life will change for sure because of this, no way can we return to the lives we lived before this pandemic. It’s a second 9/11 all over again...lifestyle changed then, lifestyle will change again now, after this pandemic is over.

How it will change is something that only time can answer.

In Alameda County (Oakland, Berkeley etc.) many businesses are allowed to remain open, including grocery stores, convenience stores, hardware stores, auto repair shops, and more.

As QCassidy352 mentioned above, outdoor activity is encouraged, as long as you are alone or with immediate family – no large groups - and stay at least 6 feet away from others. Hiking trails remain open.

Glad that Apple is doing the right thing and continuing to pay its workers during the closures.

The main problem is.... vaccination does not work for new variants of influenza, every year in the flu season new variants emerge.

It helps, but in no way 100%
Yes which is why I specifically said "More people vaccinated equals less people potentially catching it"

Get the flu shot, period. It protects against what they think the strains will be.

Glad I don't live in CA anymore. Live on 10 acres in Boulder County. Drove to the local open space and went for a 3+ mile walk. Shelter in place? I'll just walk the pasture.

Got 'em if needed.
We in CA can still do long nature walks. They are allowed under Shelter in Place.
