Never felt the weight, but I will disagree about their quality. Not sweat proof at all. And the ear sizing pieces were a horrible design. I they kept coming off, and I had to order more from Jaybird at a ridiculous price. After I ordered a set of them I used the headphones for another three weeks before they went kaput from sweat. I know that it was sweat that got them, because I started to lose one of the earpieces for a while before it finally crapped out. It would start cutting out about 15 minutes into my run, as the sweat really got going. For the $200 I paid for these POS I would have expected much more. Never again.

That's very unusual behaviour for Jaybirds. They have a lifetime warranty for being sweat proof. I've sweat excessively with them, as have many others I've read about.

What was the issue with the sizes. Talking about the tips that provide extra grip in your ear?

Both colours were in stock in the Bristol Apple Stores this weekend, so I suspect most uk stores have them now.
Really? I was hoping this news would mean they'd be available in most Apple stores at least in Europe but they aren't in the Apple Store app. Perhaps I'll phone up my local store tomorrow.

Yep, I was surprised not to see them in the online store, definitely are in store though as I had them in my hand :) didn't buy as still mulling over whether they're worth £170..!

As you can pick up a pair of MDR-7506s for a quarter of this price, which I'd argue has better sound quality than any wireless pair of headphones currently on the market, I'd personally struggle to justify paying the price. But then the MDRs have a headphone cord which could stretch around the Earth twice, so it's not comparable.
It's not just the cord. The 7506's, mighty though they may be, would be a poor choice for jogging, or any similar activity.
Thanks, but no matter how good they are, I can't get them. I'm in the UK.
Nah, it's easy, quit making silly excuses, you just have to add the cost of a round-trip ticket to the US to the price of the earphones. :D

Ahaha, that's putting it lightly! I can definitely see the appeal with wireless headphones. Just a shame they're so bitterly expensive.

I just think they were a poor design. They would slide off the earpieces way too easily, and end up getting lost. Was not a fan at all. I was very hopeful for them when I bought them. in fact I pre-ordered them. But it was a rocky relationship pretty much from the start. I hoped it would get better, but in retrospect I should have cut my losses and just returned them in the first 10 days. I went back to the ear pods, and I've been relatively satisfied.

I may take a look at one of the new completely wireless solutions that have been introduced lately. I also backed this Kickstarter project: https://www.kickstarter.com/project...rtificial-intelligence-personal?ref=user_menu

I've been hoping for and would love full wireless earbuds. I think the Bragi Dash are available now, and I'm quite tempted to try them as they're also fully waterproof and have some internal storage for independent music playback (I would love to have something to listen to during long swims). http://www.bragi.com But being so close to a September event I'm curious to see if Apple has something in the form of AirPods coming.

Also, I use a Moto Hint very often every day. It's single ear, very small, but a few things work quite well - it has A2DP so it acts as an audio receiver for music/podcasts/media/etc. And it functions so easily. Put it in your ear and it turns on & pairs. Touch the only button and it triggers Siri. Honestly can't go back to wired headphones for phone calls or podcasts/music after using it. Sits quite snug, but it wasn't super comfortable or 100% stable during a run when I tried it.

Bose screwed up in sweat-proof dept with these. I bought them almost as soon as they came out; about a month later I start getting cracking and humming noises out of the left one, they would also refuse to turn off using power button and drain battery at dramatic rate. I had to call Bose as opposed to taking them back to the store for exchange or return as this happened past the buyer's remorse period. They owned up to it though and offered an exchange no questions asked. Unfortunately, the version with problem fixed is not available yet (according to them, they should be shipping late this month or early September), so until then, they have sent me SoundSport wired earbuds (mine to keep, no need to return) and will be sending wireless ones once they are in stock.

I am not the only one with this problem, there are a few articles online describing it, and Bose has been doing the same for anyone who calls in complaining about it. It seems like they may have recalled them completely; they used to be on Amazon but now only through third-party sellers who want $250-300 for them (they retail for $150) and are probably from the same defective batch. Official Bose site has them back-ordered by 5-6 weeks.

Aside from the above, I love the sound quality on them. I also own Jaybird X2 and I prefer Bose over them. Bass is much richer and more solid compared to X2. These are also the first Bose earbuds that actually managed to stay in my ears. I had to return a handful of Bose wired earbuds as despite trying all the ear tips, they kept falling out (which was a shame as I loved the way they sounded), but is seems that with these Bose has nailed the fit. One of the reasons I decided to give Bose a chance and exchange mine as opposed to fighting them for money back. Let's see if the replacement indeed fixes the problem.

Anyone know which color watch band is depicted in the space gray picture?

Was not a fan of these earbuds. The Beats wireless stayed in place much better, especially for HIIT type work or explosive barbell work.

Did the remote weight effect you at all? Really want some! Some reviews say there are really good, some say bad. Also, sound quality?

I never noticed the weight of the controller. Like I said my biggest issue was the way the earpieces fit, and the overall quality of the unit. Definitely not worth the $200 for me.

Wow, Apple is really doubling down on the Pink products, err umm, rose gold

I have the freedoms in black. I like 'em. But the longer I have them the more mixed opinions I have on them. All the complaints about them seem to be very valid. When I'm wearing them, the remote on the right side really does pull the headphones down. Nomatter how good the seal is in my ears. The battery life isn't something I care about. But I do charge them more than my girlfriend charges hers.

And ya know what really pissed me off? I was gonna bug my woman a pair of jay it's for her birthday this month but she didn't want them. So I bought her a pair of $30 Bluetooth earbuds on Amazon and I actually liked them BETTER than my $200 headphones. What...the...hell man

I bought them from Amazon in Germany without anything like duties coming up at all. Amazon.co.uk offers them as well without any indication of any duties.
Ivor the jaybird freedom on Tuesday no import tax very happy with them it's all down to personal taste gold and white for me
