Must be nice to have an Apple Store only 50 miles away.
Yes always seems weird to hear some aren't even within 100 :( Other than the 2.2 mi one theres about 11 between 50-60

I would trade the closest Apple Store for a Krispy Kreme or Royal Farms or Traders Joe

Two hours? More like never.

Remember, this is the service where Apple uses shady drivers from Uber Eats and Postmates. High chance of them disappearing with your package and indicating they cancelled your pickup. You’ll spend days with Apple telling them it was never delivered and they’ll tell you it was.
I recently ordered an ipad with courier delivery and rhey used Uber Eats. I agree it is a shame Apple is ysing this and not being upfront about it.

My iPad box was bumped and wrinkled in a few corners as well as scratched, and the stickers and wrapping on the pencil case looked strange and crooked.

I read bad things about Uber Eats deliveries and, considering the potential for problems, returned my order myself. I’m the sort of person who will wonder “is my ipad acting up because the idiot driver dropped it on the way here? Was my pencil a counterfeit because it is acting strange and the stickers weere weird”. Not worth it IMO.

Yea I barely trust them with food because they can't follow directions or take forever or forget something. But at least that's only maybe $20, and if I report it, they will believe me and credit/refund
I hope you aren’t one of those that puts “the building next to the pool” when there’s 3 different pools….

Apple can definitely do better than this. And yes, how about not parading our brothers in every emoji and advertisement. Just plain sick.

No it's much better at the new apt, but with the old, I would put detailed directions, and all three of the GPS Apple Google Waze always pointed right to our lot, but they would drive all around, and when they did get there, they would say GPS sent them wrong.

Whoopie dooo? Every accessory or device is still at full price while other places have sales.

Must be nice living near an Apple Store.
I'm at least thankful I don't need to visit and Apple Store for anything, as the closest one is 1h45 away!

So many things I'd love to grab this season, but dang my family is feeling the pinch from all the inflation. We've cut back on most luxury/fun type things and are just keeping our heads down. I'm sure its like that for many folks this season.
I haven't gotten any gifts from friends, which I actually welcome b/c I didn't get anything for them. If they do, I'll have to return the favor after the holidays as I'm going on travel.

For family, ditto. I'll deal with it after the holidays. I did get my niece and nephew gift cards.

For myself, I bought a bunch of Nintendo Switch games. They were all 50% to 80% off. Spent about $60, but got many-a-dozen games, so not too shabby. Should last me for a long while.

ATV 4K was showing as a 2 hour delivery tomorrow.

Added it to the bag, now it’s saying Wednesday 28th!

I might wait until later today (UK) to see if it changes.

Did all of my research & was all set to get it, as well (huff!) :).

And yet in the UK I couldn’t get an Apple TV delivered from the online Apple Store in two weeks with their logistics partner DHL just now. Literally just cancelled the order.

Apple even shipped a 2nd Apple TV to me because they assumed DHL had lost the first order. No, just both orders were sitting undelivered by the scrotes at DHL for two whole weeks. It’s a 20 mile journey from their distribution centre.

This was a complete waste of time and money. I put in an order yesterday. Said it would be delivered between 2:30 and 4:30. Never arrived. Woke up this morning to find out my order was canceled overnight. And of course the money has not been refunded yet. That will take between five and 10 business days. They recommend I follow up with my bank.

Last minute family gift idea: decided to get a gen 9 iPad to outfit the stage in our home tavern with karaoke. “Time to take advantage of that 2 hour delivery!” I thought. Until I tried placing the order and learned that delivery was not available for this item. So despite their website showing no inventory, I tried my last ditch effort of driving to the madhouse of Costco where there was at least one space gray 10.2 in stock. Bonus: it was $269 and came with a free extended warranty. Merry Christmas!
