Whether it's meant to tax the business or the consumer, it taxes the business by making the price higher. The effect would be the same either way, less money for the business because they have to sell it at a price people would buy it at.

But I'm pretty sure the sales tax is on the companies. It's not like the consumers include items bought in their tax forms.
I give up. Just do yourself a favor, don't do your own taxes.

But yes, that is on the 1040, as an option.

I say the state should eff both of them, god knows both are capable of pretty much buying up half if not all of latin America, at a time when the global economy is at one hell of a recession, and none of them, esp. Apple isn't doing much to give back to the communities they engage in. Eff em both. Antitrust and hard fines do all of us good, when they come hard on mega rich corporations.

Spoken like a true communist!!!

I am taking this as a compliment although I am way beyond such basic schemes of classification.:)

I certainly didn't mean it as a compliment. And I'm glad that you aren't in any position of power because evidently, if it were up to you, business would be dead.

I agree that there are tons of business up to no good, but just making a profit and making lots of it isn't a crime. And not giving back to the community in a way that doesn't please you isn't a crime either.

Luckily, you're not the one who gets to decide if Google should be punished.
