SRSLY?
Sounds like a stop gap solution for a problem Apple still needs to fix with.

The amount of hostility here is high. Going outside and getting some fresh air can help ease stress. Maybe it’s easy to say because I never run into the issues I see here however.
To be fair, computers and houses are pretty much entirely different things. If you don't have these issues, you have no "skin in the game". So no reason to judge people who have.

Me: I don't have hot water
Apple: Rebuild your house and it is fixed
While something like this can be somewhat time consuming and can take a bit of effort, and is generally something to be avoided when possible, it isn't all that unusual when dealing with computer issues (and realistically speaking that's what smartphones and smartwatches are). Again, that isn't to say that it's something good or anything like that, but that it's not all that unusual and something that often enough resolves various issues.YGBKM -- Apple's fix for a problem they create is a whole bunch of work on my part.
Only from an arrogant overvalued company.

Im wondering if I should just wait for an official fix Instead of risking data loss.
Well, if it doesn't resolve the issues then it's certainly not a great situation to be in. It's still not an usual troubleshooting step (one of the last ones basically), but certainly isn't good when it doesn't yield anything. I didn't explicitly mention it in an earlier reply, but Apple should certainly continue investigating and hopefully coming up with some sort of fixes to the underlying issues. This is very true, but the problem here is that many of us have already done this on our own, and ended up just wasting time and having to reconfigure Apple Pay and everything else.
My personal concern is that this IS Apple's official fix.![]()
The last version of WatchOS 6 ruined battery for me, then WatchOS 7 fixed it. Hearing this makes me realize my fix will only be temporary and there is a whole other world of Apple Watch they have no idea how it fully operates. It’s easy to forget smart watches are “new” technology and need years of refinement.

Sort of a positive thing 😅This is first in over a decade with an iPhone.
Oh, if you have the battery drain issue, you will notice. It is like 14-31% per hour. And your phone will be hot.I’m on a S4 that I upgraded to 7 and a X I upgraded to 14 and I have 0 issues. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there’s probably things I don’t notice

I've just followed the instructions to backup, erase and restore everything, and now I'm missing all my activity data since 19th September – presumably that's when I updated to watchOS 7?

I build software for a living. There are better fixes. Apple should at least let users know if they work on one instead of letting us in the blind weather this is the only solution we will get or not.

Question: Did you loose any medals, for example for your "perfect month" of September?
