Read about OLED - then read the shortcomings of OLED, then read about micro-LED, then read about how mini-LED is a cheaper compromise and a more commercial viable alternative for micro-LED and you'll know all you need to know.

Micro-LED is not the same as mini-LED

That's just your subjective opinion. Every display technology has its pros and cons. OLED is not some kind of flawless alien technology that everyone MUST use.
The OP broader point is that HP spectres are becoming an extremely interesting device, and has features I would like in an MBP. I personally wouldn’t want an OLED screen in a laptop for fear of burn in, and HP trackpads do not match MBP ones, but I do want 22 hours of battery life in a thin well built device with a decent keyboard.

It has all the advantages of an LCD and oled but NONE of the disadvantages
So no blacklight bleed, no low contrast ratio, no burn-in, no high consumption no blue pixel wear off etc

.this.

this is future until micro LED comes to market

there is nothing better

except for the Apple watch, there is no OLED in my life, and there will absolutely will not be unless i am forced into it having no other realistic choice

i HATE OLED

Are you saying that OLED does not fit Mac Book users? Are they special or something? I am sure many would love to have OLED displays just like they love having OLED displays on iPhones. Sure some would opt for cheaper LCD but having OLED option would definitely be nice.
I wouldn't want my ipad and mac to use OLED display. OLED has yet overcome the burn-in and PWM-based brightness issue.
I often just put my mac/ipad as a calendar/book reader at the side, the screen may state on the same content for hours (always on). I wouldn't trust the lifespan of OLED on such application (abuse :p).
OLED has way better dark than LCD, if this mini-LED can achieve ~90% of that, I'm more than happy.

I'd like to see that thinner space savings go to removable/replaceable batteries.

This would make the display thinner. There is no battery on the display part of MacBooks in the first place.

(There is for some convertible laptops, like the Surface Book. It… comes with downsides. The display part feels unnaturally heavy, making the entire thing lopsided.)

Yes, many would love to have OLED displays, but also yes, OLED is a poor fit especially for MacBook Pros. Much of the Pro target audience — photographers, video editors, etc. — cares about color accuracy far more than about a high contrast ratio.
