Apple Supplier Potentially Hints at iPhone 15 Pro With Solid-State Volume and Power Buttons

Please no. I like my Apple Watch but the "digital crown" is totally unnecessary. You can do all of the same things by swiping on the screen.
As somebody who used the watch for sports in the rain.

The Digital Crown is important. When your hands and the watch is dripping wet. Using apps via the Digital Crown is the only feasible thing to do.

I wonder what this means for the mute rocker, seems like it's days are numbered. That's one of the major reasons I really like iPhones, will be sad to see it go.

This sounds dreadful. Yet the masses will cheer the de-contenting of the phone. Removing high-quality mechanical components and losing the quality feel of real buttons to replace them with cheap, inefficient, unreliable haptics will further the quality decline of iPhone in the service of increasing corporate profit margins.
I don’t know if there is any real benefit from switching those buttons to solid-state, but Apple has done this before and the results were at least as good or even better than the physical switches. Did you ever use the later generation of iPhones with a home button? That became solid-state around the iPhone 7 and the result was a much more reliable button that still felt and worked well. The solid-state buttons in the laptop touch pads work so well that many people don’t realize that they do not move and are solid-state.
