I really gotta stop reading the comments on this website. It's nothing but negative whiners haha. Somehow this app being released is Apple admitting that they are terrible and are doomed and just not the same since Steve died. Man, it's so far from the average person's perception it isn't even funny. Just a cesspool of negativity.

I hear what you're saying, absolutely.

However it's not good that many dedicated Apple fans, professional users, and tons of people who don't know the first thing about tech are all voicing dissatisfaction with Apple.

I mostly hear it from non-tech people, especially with regards to updates removing or changing features, or things that stop working.

I think I might use it now. My iPhone 6 is having some odd battery behaviors. I'll update this post when I'm done.

EDIT: Good News Everyone! The App works perfectly. The Bad News is that they said my iPhone's diagnostics determines that it does indeed need a battery replacement.

That iPhone diagnostic will be an in-app purchase.

Do they have a section devoted to Mac users that have frustrations with the current hardware and software running on their "Pro" machines? Any sections telling you how to get time remaining on battery back?

Yes I know the iPhone and iPad don't have it but they are different use cases and I find the power consumption is always the same but on my MacBook it is more variable depending on the computing task. I really appreciated knowing how much more time I had left on battery when deciding if my current activity would make me want to charge up.

Uhhh hi Apple Support. I updated my computer and it no longer tells me how much battery life I have left.

Apple Support: You're welcome.
What happened to your battery power meter that everyone still has?

Why are they really all that different use cases? The power consumption also differs based on what you do on iPhones and iPads just as it does on a MacBook.

Even that aside, of the estimates were being inaccurate to a large enough of a degree more often then why would something inaccurate and basically misleading be something that anyone would want?

Yeah, how dare someone express negativity or their opinion. Thoughtcrime be damned.

Does this only show Apple store visits? I'm currently having a issue with the TV app on my iPad for which I called Apple support and emailed them screen shots to send to software engineering. This app has no record of that phone call.

this one is copying google support on google pixel phone for sure, but no one here said apple is copying someone like they usually said "samsung copying apple! google copying apple! microsoft starting photocopier! god i cry inside. you're all so biased.

Still doesn't show peripherals like Thunderbolt Display. Costs $1000 plus additional $100 AppleCare plan yet noway to manage it anywhere.

That app looks far more in-depth than this.

wow, that was a quick copy of googles support tab which they added a couple weeks ago.

The Google support tab has been around longer that a couple weeks and this is more in-depth than that tab

More in depth, sure. The Google one is beautiful it it's simplicity though. They don't have the same support ecosystem built out, most of their issues are replacement/displays anyway, so no need to make it complicated.

Not all of us can stand chugging the kool-aid for that long. You'll tire of it too.
