It is a good router, and I have not looked into the issue of DAS with a router, but I suggest reading its review on smallnetbuilder.com.
The power switch issue usually occurs around 18 months. It happened to me, so I googled it. It is actually a widespread, but very fixable problem. Basically the power button stays in when powered on, but one day I came down to find my router off. Like so many others, the button simply popped into the off position and wouldn't stay pushed in to stay on. Using a toothpick to wedge the button or disassembling it to remove the spring clip are your best options.
BTW, my router was plugged into my surge protector with my other equipment when it happened, all the rest of which are fine.
