Who is "Bad Bunny" and how does it fit in all this? Gotta have a celeb endorsement I guess.
I think that's the guy in the picture. How long before we see a picture of Bad Bunny sitting backstage drinking a Coke?

I'm predicting this will in no way impact my Pepsi consumption. (i.e. none.)

It’s 2003 and you typed: www.Apple.com

Lets see when Apple partners up with healthy drinks & food instead. Like fruit, veggies, water etc.

Obesity is very high and Apple choose to support one of the main culprits. Incredible
It is a brand partnership for two huge corporations. There's a financial benefit. It's a summer promo & most likely the target is the demo that drinks (and buys) soda. The Bad Bunny affiliation & prizes that are very music centric, it's targeting a concert going / festival attending (most likely younger) demo.

While healthy foods & drinks would be preferable from a health / moral standpoint...Apple is not going to partner up with Granny Smith Apples, Del Monte, or Tazo Tea for a 3 month Apple Music subscription.

Plus, they do have partnerships with healthcare companies & brands. There's their own Apple Fitness+, the Apple Watch is marketed more for health & safety than anything else. They have connected gym partnerships with Crunch Fitness, Orange Theory Fitness and others. Apple Health has connections with Peloton, etc.

Ultimately, they are still a company, so there will continue to be promos like the Pepsi one.

Wasn't there also a Coca-Cola/Apple promo at one point where there was a free song code in every cap (or something like that)?

...or was that Pepsi as well?

Edit: Yeah, I think it was Coca-Cola. Summer of 2011/2012 I believe. But maybe only in Canada. I remember getting tons of free songs because I would drink a small bottle everyday. Haha

The 2003 bottle cap promotion had the (legally required) "no purchase necessary" option to enter. There was a website where you could provide your email address for a chance to win a song download. I won about 50 of them that way 🤣

This current promotion has its own "no purchase necessary" website, but the site does not appear to be live yet and instead goes to a strange login screen.

I remember the 2003 Pepsi/iTunes bottle cap promo. I drank a looooot of Pepsi around that time.

Nothing says "spreadsheet marketing" more than major label darling Apple Music partnering with poison water company Pepsi, each hoping the other will impart some level of "advanced metrics" leading to "activation among key demographic targets" as they flail around.

Headshot.
Yeah, completely opposed to their stance on health and wellness. To get behind any of the major food manufacturers is a mockery of standing for health and wellness.

❗️Rant on❗️ As I finish medical school and prepare to start residency I am already aware of the system that’s set up to sell hyper-palatable, ultra-processed junk that uses clever marketing jargon like “Organic, whole grain, low-fat, heart healthy, vegan…” whilst the public gets addicted, sicker and fatter, and more dependent on pharmaceuticals. As the saying goes, “a sick patient is a paying customer.” Worse yet, that same system, yes companies like Kellogg’s, Coca Cola, Pepsi, General Mills, overwhelmingly pay for the research that dictates our nutritional guidelines, and in the US we allow the major pharmaceutical companies to fund the research on their drugs. The amount of COI is just outrageous. Sad to see Apple partnering up with such disgraceful companies who literally sell nothing but total garbage. Sorry for the rant but this stuff is near and dear. I hate seeing sick dependent patients suffering and feeling hopeless because the system is quite literally against their health and well being.

"The Press Play On Summer promotion will begin at 12 PM ET on May 22, 2023.
Save your specially-marked Pepsi®, MTN DEW®, and Starry® products and come back for your chance to win prizes all summer long—plus unlock up to 3 free months of Apple Music!"

According to Pepsi's website.

Sodas don’t cause obesity. Drinking too many of them do. No food makes you fat just too much of them do.

But you going to love this…Pepsi makes a diet soda with the same calories as water.

You went to a silly medical school that taught you nonsense buzzwords not useful physiology and nutrition. “Ultra processed”. Lol. Solid data does not support such nonsense rants.

Why Reggaeton it is everywhere?! This pseudo-music is making damage to music listeners around the world and to the music itself.
And what’s wrong with that? Thankfully, we all have different taste in music.
