Apple Teases 'Innovations That Have Never Been Seen Before' This Year

Imagine the convenience of being able to perform a colonoscopy in the privacy of your own home and have it sync with your Watch, iPhone or iPad to see the results. It fits Apple's increasing focus on health. iColon has a nice ring to it.

I concur

However that would involve applying a characteristic that often seems missing from the Cupertino company.

That characteristic is common sense.

Cook hypes up Apple's future on every earnings call, but "innovations that have never been seen before" is particularly bold wording compared to his usual comment about how the company's product pipeline is stronger than ever.

Only time will tell if Apple actually delivers.

Will the foldable iPhone have any breakthrough features, such as a rumored crease-free screen?

Will the more personalized version of Siri go above and beyond the likes of ChatGPT in any ways?

Will the long-rumored Apple smart glasses do anything unique compared to the Meta Ray-Bans?

Will the rumored Apple smart home hub, security camera, and Face ID video doorbell give companies like Google and Ring a run for their money?

These are some of 2026's burning questions, and we look forward to seeing what Apple has in store throughout what should be quite a busy year.

But none of what you listed are things we’ve never seen before. They are all things other companies have done already. Apple needs to drop something actually innovative or Tim Cook legacy will be the guy who took over after Steve.
 
I hope what Tim says will come to fruition. Apple's product line has become pretty stale, adopting "more of the same thing" style of product.

I miss the days when Apple would create hardware and software that were game changing. That was back in the day when Steve would say "one more thing" during WWDC - when product releases were really exciting.
 
The newest innovation Apple had for me in store was disabling my iTunes/App store access, ransacking my purchased media due to unkown reasons they won't tell me.
