Apple Teases Star Wars-Themed 'Behind the Mac' Film Featuring Skywalker Sound

I grew up as a child loving the original trilogy, and I'm still a huge fan of those... but this is all too much. Disney has milked the cow dry, re-animated the cow, then milked the zombie cow a hundred times over now. I couldn't give a rats behind anymore--outside of the original three movies which I'll always occasionally watch and cherish.

They should put a theatrical version of A New Hope on AppleTV+ and they’d make another few billion.

This….this…..is a brilliant idea.:D

t’s a staple in the film industry and I don’t know about a ‘billion’, but they definitely would make a lot of money.

Apple logic: Let's completely re-write history and make everything seem more diverse and Apple dependent than it really was.

Apple marketing: Lets make it black and white because think different

Cinematographers: ooOoOooO

Average viewer: Oh my god, Star Wars was made on a Mac! I need one NOW!

The best thing Lucas did was space everything so far apart that it kept you interested. With Disney, it's Star Wars 24/7. Yes, Disney's movies are also complete garbage... but that's still not as bad as the constant overload of everything Star Wars. It's now become just another thing. With Lucas, it was a world-stopping event.

It’s the one that won all the awards. If anything a remastered theatrical version should be available for cultural posterity.

That sucker won awards for sound and “Skywalker Sound” is here as a result.

Yeah, and JJ Abrams literally admitted they had no plan which explains the incoherent storylines that completely ignored Star Wars lore. And let’s not forget the ridiculous scenes, like Princess Leia surviving in outer space and using the force to pull herself back into the spacecraft ?.

Between that and Kathleen Kennedy’s primary objective being to use Star Wars as a platform to push her worldviews instead of building on one of the greatest stories ever told, it was bound to be a disaster.

exactly... the first thing that came into my mind is: where is poor Ben Burtt? fired from Disney, and now kept hidden? But they owe him everything, he created Star Wars sounds, every bit of it. This is so unfair.

You’d think Apple would link to AppleTV version saying something like “Hear this story about soundtrack on a platform that delivers…” or at least say “ATMOS audio where available” ?
