If they were fair to their customers, 2020 iPhone models should've had "s" in the name rather than a new number.
2020 models are extremely weak in any meaningful new features.
Then again, if customers have any respect for themselves they would never buy 2020 models in the first place.

Yes, so simple to make FaceID smaller...they should just hire you to show them.

Remember, just because they can doesn’t mean it makes sense.
Trying to find in my post where I said it was "simple" or indicated in any way that I had the solution . . .

Tons of people have ideas of what they'd love to see in future iterations of a phone. I'd go as far as to say that it's a large majority of posts on this website. Do you just assume anyone who talks about new ideas is a product / software engineer who can competently provide the solution to Apple?

Is the notch really that big of a problem?

I’ve went from the Xs to 11 pro max and now the 12 pro max. After getting the Xs it just faded away, and i hardly even notice it anymore.

I don't think it's a problem. I see a reduced notch as a general improvement, but that's about it. Like, if they made it smaller I wouldn't complain . . . but if they kept it the way it is, I wouldn't either.

Wearing a facemask has made me realise that it’s the edge to edge screen on my XR that I value over Face ID.

Both would be great & Apple is unlikely to ever drop Face ID on the ‘X’ successor phones - think of the options & the improved security of having both.

I hope though that touchID is only on the power button a la iPad Air.

That would be more convenient for me, the way I hold my phone, over it appearing on the screen & I don’t want to pay for all of the R&D that would involve on the 12s/13.

Samsung has had these features in their phones for a few years now. Cleaarly it's time for Apple to start exploring them. Just like with OLED, NFC, large screens etc. Apple will be several years behind the leading edge in phone tech.
Years behind in features and years ahead in execution.

I disagree 100%. Plus Apple must disagree with you as well, especially if they are really working on a foldable i-device. Apple does have a major software problem with foldables, especially when Apple has gone out of their way to separate iPhone apps from iPad apps. Heck Apple has gone out of their way to make a separate iPadOS as well. This is so NOT conducive towards foldable hardware. That is why I will go on record stating that you will NOT see from Apple a device like Samsung's Galaxy Fold. The only type of foldable that Apple could ever make is a foldable like Samsung's Z Flip, or like Motorola's Razr type of foldable devices. Those type of devices stay as smartphones, so in Apples case, their foldable, if they actually made one, would stay as an iPhone type device, and only run iPhone apps.
apple working on foldable does not mean galaxy’s implementation is a gimmick

i did not say folding phones are gimmicks. i said galaxy fold is a gimmick.

What? Why is it a gimmick? Works great and provides a bigger viewing experience.. Don't tell me when Apple releases it, it's not a gimmick.. that's some hardcore fanboi stuff.
no, i reserve judgement until i actually use the device.

i used the galaxy fold and it sacrificed my 70-80% usage of a device to make 20-30% of my usage slightly better.

People are bothered by a few dead pixels. Notch is like a whole section of the display went dead.
