While I have been a huge fan of Apple (owned every single generation of iPhone from the original one to 12 Pro Max, several MacBook Pros, a handful of iPads and several iPods back in the day) I will not stand for this. Banning stuff like Epic for willingly circumventing AppStore rules is one thing, but banning an app because you don't like what it's used for is total censorship. While using Android or any other OS may not be as easy and enjoyable as iOS, macOS, etc., I will NOT stand for censorship. If Apple does this, I am done.

This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the internet. Whether you swing to the right or the left politically, what the events of the past few days have shown all of us is that Big Tech is far too powerful an entity and seemingly beyond the reach of even the highest office. These Tech conglomerates in Silicon Valley have revealed their monopoly on our digital communication networks and the impunity they have to act as they please without repercussions, all under the guise of "it's a private company bro they can do what they want". Something needs to be done.

This isn’t a freedom of speech issue.
bro they ban you for speech and tell you to get your own site , you make your own site then app , then they try to ban you to get your own servers you then make your own servers , then they try to ban you from even searching or downloading even the self owned app this is why dot win sites came out against reddit. and yet you people are still trying to ban it lol. literal fascism

Literal fascism is what is being banned.

Zuckerberg donates millions of dollars for thousands of absentee vote drop boxes in Democrat precincts to make it easier for Democrats to vote in key states (but no drop boxes in Republican Leaning precincts). He then suspends the Facebook pages of 2 Republican Senate candidates in GA days before the election to prevent them from communicating with their supporters. Then he calls Trump a "threat to our democracy". He has the self awareness of a turd.
I've officially deleted my accounts on both Twitter and Facebook. They won’t care but I do and I won’t have deal with their garbage.

I love this logic. 2+2=£¥€

Defund the Thought Police!
This is going too far. I have defended Apple when people attack "Big Tech" for censorship. I do not believe Apple has the right to dictate to Parler what is and is not acceptable points of view to be shared on their platform.
That’s not what they’re doing, which you’d know if you read the article.

It has nothing to do with “points of view,” unless you consider plotting violence to be just another perspective.

Goodbye Free Speech, Hello dictatorship!
It's a digital dictatorship. We allowed Silicon Valley to make us all this cool stuff and we turned a blind eye to how much control we allowed them to retain. We didn't want to play a part in the process of governing the information they had control over, and now they stand as questionably the tallest peak of power in the United States, beyond even the highest elected office of president of the United States. That's too much power for these "companies" to hold.

Bad move Apple

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
If you use a famous quote, you might want to give credit to its author, Martin Niemöller, and the context would not hurt, either.
