Apple Stores don’t excite me anymore. Unless it’s an Apple Store exclusive I see no need to ever go to an Apple store, for a purchase, any longer. In my neck of the woods there no zero benefit. Of course it’s different globally. Only reason for to go would be a warranty issue.

90% of my Apple purchases are done at a Best Buy. They have actual sales, price match, better financing options, longer return policy, and I don’t have to make a lame appointment. I don’t deal with their store reps as I already know what I want and don’t need to ask questions about it. So that’s a non factor.

Call me weird but I enjoyed the energy and atmosphere of a full Apple Store. Going there now is like going to those defunct Microsoft stores, except you are escorted around like a prisoner. It’s empty, sterile, and bland. Perhaps it will change.

Boggles my mind that Copenhagen and Helsinki still don't have Apple Stores. Hope they'll address that. Also, the Sainte-Catherine store in downtown Montreal is in serious need of a retrofit (or, even better, moving to a larger space)!

Would be nice to have a store in south NJ again given that AC was closed. Can be over an hour to head to Philly or 2 hours to Freehold.

Makes sense. The future of retail is omni-channel. Maybe you stop by an Apple store to browse and then ultimately purchase online, or vice versa. It probably helps that retail rents are going down.

I was annoyed that it wasn’t built on Collins St.
I was a bit more understanding that it wasn’t built in Fed Square (but didn’t mind it myself).

I had heard that it was supposed to be built in the Emporium prior to it being finished. I think the location where Top Shop used to be makes a lot of sense, but then I see the Nike Store, which Is MASSIVE in terms of floor area, and it’s actually an even better piece of real-estate. Now that Top Shop is gone, and retail is struggling, I hope Apple can revisit the idea of opening a store up in Emporium again. It’s certainly convenient if you visit the CBD.

Currently, I visit the Apple Store in Doncaster, but I find it very small. Highpoint’s is only slightly bigger. I have never been to Chadstone SC for any reason. Or Southland, or any other shopping centres, really.
I agree with Emporium where Nike is, that would be such a good spot and would really bring in the foot traffic. @Apple take note! 😂

Why do we need in one in Belgium? You can touch and try Apple products in stores like Fnac, Mediamarket, Saturn, Telenet and many more. Heck even with the 14 day return policies like Coolblue you can just try and use stuff for 2 weeks if you really want.

Repairs work flawlessly online as well. Physical stores are so 2019 :p
All those stores have horrible, horrible customer service.
Often for a lot of clueless customers, you receive products that have been returned already or were opened. they don't care. And their product knowledge is *****.

my own experience:
  • In 2007 I bought an iMac in such a store. I went straight home, opened it, turned it on and the screen was green (like a videocard malfunction). I went back the same day. "Sir, are you sure you didn't drop it on your way home?" "You need to be careful sir". WTF?? Also I was clueless, that iMac has been opened before.
  • I went for an iPad, the sales person directed me to the Samsung tablets. She bluntly told me to not purchase an iPad as it was overpriced.
I seriously cannot express how I loath these shops and the way they handle their customers and their products in general.

The amount of people physically visiting Apple stores disagree with you. To a certain extent, online shopping has replaced physical stores, true. Apple Watch, AirPods, iPad mini, all purchased online.

MacBook Pro questions and accessoires, I was happy to just go in an actual Apple store and ask questions.
I purchased my MacBook Pro in Paris, had a keyboard issue when I lived in Madrid, and they didn't make a fuss about repairing it.

Now a store in Antwerp still ;)
