When I work in Illustrator CS5 now, I have to turn off translucency because it causes my Font previews not to work. I was UTTERLY ticked off until I thought to try turn down/off the transparency thing in the Accessibility section of systems prefs. Man, it's a little bit of a hassle but not being able to see what my fonts looked like was a nightmare!

Why can't I share a link to download from my iCloud Drive?

Perhaps Apple doesn't want people circumventing the 5GB capacity by having multiple Apple ID's and linking Drives?

BTW iCloud Drive is just a glorified version of Apple's iDisk, I don't see the reason for the hype.

Yeah, I get that.

I just want to share a file with my friends. What is easier that just giving them the URL to the file (like Dropbox) instead of sending them the same file already stored on their servers via E-Mail...

VERY smart move, since they always used the first 3-4 iterations of all the prior "final release" OS versions as MASS public beta tests anyway with all the ensuing (in some cases) terrible consequences. Now people might actually be able to upgrade before 10.X.5 or 10.X.6.

:apple:

This is good news...

What the hell too ya so long..

Apple can get everyone on board, and many more fixes than developers can do.... Its only a small part of the world :)

I agree with you. It's the main feature that I find makes Dropbox very useful.

I enjoyed participating in the Beta. Installed my copy on an external drive and booted to it about once a week to check out the new features and look. My mail and Safari were somewhat buggy until the end but tried to send in feedback to help.

Not sure how much my feedback was helpful but enjoyed using the new OS in advance of its launch.
