Good News, I also heard that there is going to be another Store in Switzerland (Basel)..

It's time they place their own stores in town.. The Partner-Store they have here is not very competent when it comes to helping with hardware-issues.

greets from germany.

damn ich habe die larden nicht gesehen Ich muss jetz nach Dresden fliegen.

I'd love to visit Dresden, but only one problem: it'll be hard to find any intact pre-World War II structures, no thanks to the infamous February 1945 RAF/USAAF bombing raids and the post-World War II razing of many historic structures by Soviet and East Germany authorities. :( It could be decades before Dresden completely restores most of its prewar architecture.

Anyway, I know it'll be quite a scene when the new store finally opens, as is the norm for any Apple Store opening. :)

Apple needs to get more stores in Canada. All four stores in Ontario are in Toronto, yet they have about five stores in Detroit alone. And drop the price to at least the US prices to reflect the stronger CDN dollar.

Depending on local legislation they may have to call it:

Äpfel-Laden

in Deutschland!

"Apfel Laden" to be correct and thats how I actually call it. The store is nice and the staff is the same composition of Apple's "Stereotypes" as everywhere else.

I stood in line for about an hour and after the grand opening it took another 10 Minutes to get into the store itself. They seperetaed the "T shirt guys (like me) and the iPad2 guys. Most people who came to the opening and queued up before 7:30 got their iPad 2. They seemed to have plenty of stock.

What I found annoying was the "forced" cheering to every little group who entered the store. It was noisy and a little to much in my eyes.

...which is very strange. How hard can it be to find the "perfect" location in Berlin.

Dresden, really?
I love you "Berlin is the only town to be" people

Berlin is too big for "just one store" with no sweet spot which Dresden does have with Zwinger, Grünem Gewölbe, Semper Opera, Residenzschloß, Hofkirche, Fürstenzug, Frauenkirche, Altmarkt, Neumarkt... all nearby, less then 5min by foot from the Apple store. Next to the Altmarktgallerie you have the Centrumsgallerie and the Prager Straße... tourists...tourists...tourists... and four 4****+ Hotels.

Now name just 3 sights of Berlin next to each other (which are not Embassies next to a giant gate).

I am personally against wasting resources to build more stores. What's wrong with just ordering online?

having store anywhere will help to manage customers in better way and that will also help to get satisfied local customer.:):):)

A few years ago, I remember how Eastern Europeans flocked to Ireland and even some Germans went there to work. What a shame.
