I have nothing against the Chinese people - just the Chinese government - but Tim Cook needs to get some fresh air or step down. I don’t know what he’s smoking with a decision like this.

The Chinese people ARE the Chinese government which is why Xi and the CPC have the highest government approval rating in the world. Even the anti China institutions in the US admit this. Your statement is contradictory for that reason.

Stealing intellectual property = Consensual technology and expertise transfer. I guess the "they steal everything!" trope will last another decade or two before the truth becomes mainstream. US corporations agreed to technology and expertise transfers when negotiating with the Chinese and there was no obligation to agree to these terms. They agreed because they wanted dirt cheap Chinese manufacturing. Now that China are utilizing that knowledge to build strong domestic competitors to US companies all of a sudden we're complaining and trying to spin a consensual agreement as "theft." Laughable.
