"We are thrilled to bring iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to our customers in China on all three carriers at launch," said Apple's CEO Tim Cook. "With support for TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus customers will have access to high-speed mobile networks from China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom for an incredible experience."
Earlier today, it was revealed that Apple had received the final license needed to start iPhone 6 sales in China. Grr

It's so bloody difficult getting one in Australia. I wish they would push some of that stock our way!

Surprisingly in Switzerland the stock in the Apple Stores is just gorgeously infinite... I'm very surprised. Apple did a very nice job at least for the country that has the most % of iPhone user in Europe.

Anyway i'took mine in Geneva and I wasn't able to say if they were tourists or Chineses scalpels around but thanks that finally China get their iPhone 6... To block them will never solve the issue as if someone want a new iPhone they will get one.

Usually scalpers aren't shipping them to China, they actually go to places like UAE/Saudi Arabia/Bahrain/etc. Resale value is much higher in those areas. Yeah the Asian scalpers have connections in China but the money is to be had in the Middle East.

Most stores in Japan have stock, especially DoCoMo seems to have basically all variants of all models available (even in rural or suburban stores). I wonder if the China delay allowed some models originally bound for that market to be diverted here (although I dont know about compatibility between networks).

I have an idea. How about they quit adding countries until they get all the people in America that pre-ordered their phone on 9/12 their phones.

iPhone 6 Plus in Australia

I can't get an iPhone 6 Plus in Australia on Telstra network yet.... come on Apple!

PS - they should allow developers to get the new phones as a priority over end consumers!

So all the handwringing about permission to sell in China was for nothing. What a shocker.

I read that the gray market flopped in China this time anyway.

If people knew the Iphone would eventually come, which was not the case before last year, why would you pay 3 times more for your phone? Makes no sense. But, those scalpers will probably at least make their money back.

Asian U.S. scalpers already have delivered tons of product to China.

There are some nice stories around. You need to realise that importing these phones into China is actually illegal. It has been reported that 300 scalped iPhone 6 have been confiscated from one importer alone, which would have cost him about $200,000. And the Chinese are not very keen on buying them, with past bad experiences with warranty problems, and the fact that the phone electronics is adapted a bit to each country and Australian or US iPhones work less than perfect in China. So profits have been very low, especially considering they had to pay someone to stand in a queue, and the cost of importing.

What about stop selling to the US until everyone else has got their iPhones.

Chinese scalpels? Sounds dangerous :p

Seems we, for whatever reason were in line first. Lets say you get to a restaurant and are given a 3 hr wait and I walk in 3 minutes behind you and they take me right in, I'm sure that won't bother you at all??

Stop complaining. I order my 6+ on 9/12 around noon and it's on its way to be delivered on this Thursday 10/2. That means most preorders on 9/12 are fulfilled
