Nobody has concrete proof but it’s usually only the Pro iPads as that’s a Pro feature. It would make the iPad line up even more confusing than it already is to be honest.

As much as I am bothered by this we will see iPads in June. Kind of make sense to show them on dev conference

I need to purchase before the end of of April. If don’t, probably won’t have the funds available till next year. The current iPad will hold its own for another year, right?

Nothing wrong with buying what you need today if you don't suffer from FOMO. It looks like the OLED iPads will have a price increase so the current 11" Pro today will be cheaper and good for many years. Best to hold out as long as you can as retailers might start slashing prices (already started happening with the iPad 9 and 10).
