No! I liked the way it works now! Somebody sneakily reading my hidden messages with Siri is hard to do unnoticed, while reading them themselves quietly from my screen is not. While driving I don't want to have to unlock my X with faceid each time I want to ask Siri to read my messages. That's dangerous! I want to hide my messages on screen, bit I want to allow Siri to read them aloud anyways.

How did this even pass testing?

I'd say Apple can do this much better.

W1 enabled headphones have secure authenticated device connections and since their very personal, why not allow messages to be read while device is locked, along with full command access?! Playback only through the headphones when connected (AirPods, Studio3's, Solo3's, BeatsX) ... would be a great benefit.
