I wonder if beta 4 will bring finger scanner?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 108

I'm sure it will! Apple will magically teleport a fingerprint scanner in to your phone's hardware while it's installing the beta.

No. Changing icons are not what betas are for.

These are probably the final icons, but on the off chance they aren't, you'll only see the updated ones in the final release.

Uh, what? Of course betas are for tweaking and receiving feedback on the UI, including the icons.

Though I don't expect them to change, either.

MacRumors Forum poster aibnr noticed earlier today that the iOS 7 Beta 4 download appeared to be posted on Apple's developer servers early this morning, ahead of an expected release today. If released today, Beta 4, with a rumored build number of 11a4435d, would come three weeks after Beta 3 was released at the beginning of July.

Clicking the purported download link, available here, returns a 'Your session has expired' error page. Other URLs with similar build numbers, on the other hand, return an 'Access Denied' error message.

Apple is expected to release Beta 4 later today.

BGR has some additional iOS 7 beta-related claims as well:
9to5Mac somewhat corroborates this, claiming that Apple is nearing "zero-priority-1 bug status", meaning there are no critical bugs left in the OS and the company is getting close to releasing a "GM1" candidate internally. Apple typically releases several internal GM candidates before releasing a final GM seed to developers for testing.

Maybe the reason those Download Links do NOT work is because of the Enhanced Security at the Apple Developer Program Website!

No offence but...

are you serious? iOS7 beta 3 is nowhere near to be usable. At least 4 times a day black screen, when something goes wrong while switching between apps, almost every app lags as hell, its definitely nowhere near to be usable. Even though I got 4S and iPad 3 with it definitely can't outperform iOS6 at the moment. So they better start working hard on it if there are just 2-3 more betas before GM. Hopefully they work it out.

Anyway, IMHO some of the icons are just terrible, UI is not the best I have seen but I guess it's just matter of opinion.

mine is just like iOS6. havent experienced anything besides some apps having problems occasionally which should be expected. iOS7b2 had its errors but b3 been fine so far

If being unable to receive calls (phone doesn't ring, answering the phone creates 2 calls with one being placed on hold and the other producing some weird beeps like Facetime) on Canada's largest network (Rogers/Fido) is "nearing 'zero-priority-1 bug status'", then Apple has a long way to go :) Hopefully beta 4 fixers the incoming call issue.

It has nothing to do with gender and everything with culture.

A few hundred years back pink was considered a manly color and blue a girly color. Now it's the exact opposite.

You're totally right. It was even more recent than that - the pink/blue for babies thing in the US was not settled until just before World War II - and it was originally to differentiate boys from girls because they all wore dresses and had long hair until they were around 6 or 7 years old (Google for an awesome picture of FDR!) - and for a time it was argued pink was manlier.

BUT, today the association is solidified, and men generally don't go with pink. Even when they wear pink dress shirts, the colors tend to be named "Salmon" or "Dusty Rose".

I did a full update (not OTA) for at AT&T iPhone 5 and found it to be the exact opposite: crashes, freezes, just very unstable. I think every time I used speakerphone the call dropped...

Not sure what would cause this, filed the reports (and I know its a beta), its just curious that folks are having wildly different experiences.

It's not really that curious. Though iOS is not as crazy fragmented, hardware-wise as Android, there are still differences between certain carrier phones, various generations of iPod Touch and iPads, as well as what is installed on developer devices besides just iOS. There's plenty of room for something unusual to be hosed up on an individual device that may not affect a different device.

For me, it's working relatively well most of the time.

Still no developer forums.

For those of us who are actually developing applications for iOS 7 (and Mavericks) it sucks that the dev forums are still down. So, there is no way to collaborate and discuss issues we are having. This is been a total fail for over a week now.

Blah.

On the plus side, I won't have to read a thousand messages of people bricking their phone, complaining that downgrading is not supported, etc. But, again, I'll take that if I can have the ability to talk to other developers again.

Funny how the over-the-air update is up before the dev tools and downloads on the dev center.

Ahh, edited: I just changed the path for dev preview 3 to 4 to download it:
