After updating my iPad to the latest iOS i can't startup my Messages program, when i do My screen turns white, I see several lines but that's it, as if it freezes zo to speak. i cn quit it by wiping it away after pressing the home button twice but it doesn't solve the issue.

Anyone has the same issue? No clue how to fix this :(

----------

Update: after restarting my iPad 2 I was able to start Messages but it seems that a lot of it's history is wiped out in various conversations I had with others. Also, when pressing 'detail' evrything freezes, and no way to see the details.

weird.

----------

Update 3: it seems to work again, a bit slow tough but getting there. Details does work again....*pfew*

Noticed the exact same thing this morning.
Restoring to see if that solves it.

Any solution? It's not world-breaking but annoying.

Sometimes waiting it out seems to get it working. Sometimes going into the Calendar app and refreshing it there might do the trick and/or removing the widget and readding it. Although I think the main thing that ends up doing the trick is restarting the phone. I only had it on a few occasions so can't quite recall exactly what usually worked out better.

Yeah, I feel kinda stupid now – restart fixed it. Thanks. :)

Ha ha very funny

Not sure what part of it would be. Many people don't experience WiFi issues, and out of those who do there are at least a few different ones that have been brought up in the past in relation to iOS 8.

The 8.2 updated screwed up my iPad Air, Facebook did not work correctly, emails froze, screen froze, went back to 8.1.3 and everything seem to be ok again.

Or it could be fine when you install iOS 8.2 again as it all could have been some sort of installation glitch.

I've never jumped on an update in 15 years with Apple....until 12:55 PM yesterday. Usually I wait for others to report.

My iPhone 6 Plus was so bloody buggy I couldn't get much done due to crashes.

Now over a day later I'm extremely pleased to report that my iPhone is trouble free!

I'm almost afraid to see that in writing as though I might jinx it..ha..ha!

Finally fixed the messages bug where when someone would send you a picture the status bar was all messed up

Does anyone else have an issue with iMessages after downloading the update to iOS? It will randomly go to a white screen and then act as though there are no messages present in the app, but after a phone reset messages works fine until it will randomly freeze again.

I'm still waiting. It's been 24 hours and my download into iTunes is about 2/3 done. I have this problem every time there is an iOS update, 8.1 took almost 4 days. I have a 12Mb/s DSL and all the speed tests show it is running fine and other downloads proceed OK but iOS updates just crawl.

Bugs showing on vers. 8.x.x as soon as update 8.2 appeared !

It was all working fine but like sudden chance i started having bugs out of the blue when the new ios 8.2 update came out and as i recall the same thing happened when 8.1.1 came out ... WTF !!! Am i all alone as a victim of bulling techniques to drive the user on a force update ... seriously !? Specially when the only thing happening this time around is the damn watch apps !

I'll be damn !

HAVE YOU GUYS EXPERIENCED BUGS JUST RIGHT AFTER NEW UPDATES SHOWS UP FOR IOS ?

No, things like that don't happen, aside from some sort of coincidences and/or just people connecting unrelated things.

Also, 8.2 has more than just Apple Watch stuff in it.
