No one cares here. Forum Spy kills that game.

Yeah, but I managed it the old fashioned way -- just happened to go to MR and see the new article. Usually by the time I go to "Post Comment" there are 5 or 6 comments even though the previous page said "0 comments". Never had the first comment to a new article on MR before. I have to celebrate it when it happens. Now I can check that one off my bucket list. ;)

EDIT: And look at that... first on page 2 as well.

Incidentally, I noticed that the beta enables bluetooth tethering for the iPad (i.e. you can tether your iPad to a bluetooth phone)

Whoah, this is huge for me. Thanks for saying they added that.. This means that now those who have an iPhone 3GS can still share their iPhone connection with their iPad (the 3GS only supports Bluetooth tethering so this was previously impossible). I am typing this from this setup right now :)

I hope it fixes AppleTV streaming. Tried to stream a movie from my iPad (already fully downloaded) via AirPlay and the loading cursor just span for over an hour without playing the movie. Pathetic. And that's with an Airport Extreme 5GHz/n network with the router, ipad and AppleTV all in the same room within line of sight. Netflix on the other hand works perfectly. Something is clearly broken when it comes to streaming iTunes movies.

The folder disappearing issue only happens when a user attempts to update an app and then cancels the update.

It's really annoying. I hope b3 fixes it.

Unfortunately it also occurs when a user updates an app. Then all updates finish. Then launch the updated app. Then exit the app. Boom.. folders are gone.

It's fairly widespread.

can anyone confirm if the 4.3 betas fixed the photo sort issue where it's not listening to iphoto's sort order beginning 4.2.1?

I dunno if my phone is having sorting problems, but its thumbnail previews are a bit weird sometimes. Instead of scaled-down photos, I get these black and blue squares that don't even resemble my photo...

This is why I'm waiting for iOS 4.3. Gestures would be nice, but I'll take improved AirPlay functionality instead.

Gestures won't be in the final release to customers. It's only for developer feedback. Perhaps in 4.4 or later.

You might need to reinstall iOS. It should work fine. Similar thing happened to me with my mac mini. When I tried to stream it would just freeze. I reinstalled and now it runs without a hitch.

I tried the beta, and I liked the gesture features but that's not even going to be a part of the final release so it isn't really that exciting to me. Still, a new iOS update is always a good thing.

Not that it sounds any interesting, but anyway...is it free for iPad/iPhone users or is it gonna cost the "extra update fee" this time?

Thanks but this was with a brand new right out of the box AppleTV 2. And I actually DID do a full restore just for kicks. And tried a number of different network settings. Nothing helped. And I read a TON of similar complains from other people with regards to streaming from iTunes to AppleTV 2. It's broken. Plain and simple. It did actually load about 5 minutes of the movie (after an hour) and I could fast forward... but it would NOT play. And I waited an hour. Unreal. Netflix on the other hand apparently works perfectly. But I don't have Netflix and probably won't bother with it now that the CRTC has buckled under pressure from Bell and Rogers to put caps on Canadian's internet usage. Argh. I'm thinking the AppleTV is going to be returned for a refund. If I'm going to wait 8 hours for a movie to stream I may as well just drive to Blockbuster. Those still exist... right?

Full display iAd banners???

Um... no thank you. Especially if the banners are forced on me, I will delete any app that tries it. I don't mind the small one at the top or bottom, but not a full display ad.

Pass.
