Why not kill it now? I mean announcing you are going to kill it likely just killed it's sales anyway...
Well said, I concur

At the top, the wake/sleep button has been moved back to the top and combined with touchID and home functions. Really terrible idea in an otherwise interesting design.Cool design XD but where is the home button?
The 32GB version was $649 for the 5C in September 2013 to July 2014! I hesitate to purchase this model and had to pay big time $200 more after it got discontinued. $850.00.
Funny how we regard the 5C as a flop, next to the 5S..
But the 6+ as a success, next to the 6.
The sales ratios are the same for each.
Exactly. If it doesn't have NFC, it goes next year.
Because the 5c is better to look at, better to hold, and more durable?
Just putting it out there...
I don't know why an 8gb model is all that's available now. That's not enough space.
The 16gb 5c was my first iPhone, and it's been a great phone.
I feel truly sad for you.
In earnest: It looks like it didn't sell well outside the USA. And I assume it sold in the USA because some morons thought it was "free"...
I don't expect another iteration of a plastic shell phone. But we'll see.
And? Why would this be a surprise to anybody?

iPhone 5c has more LTE bands, bigger battery, and better camera than iPhone 5...
You are right about a small increment in baterry and more LTE bands. But the cameras are the same.
5c is heavier too

But next year there will be a replacement for the 6/6 Plus. Would Apple really keep the 5s, 6, 6Plus and then add a 6s and 6s Plus? Do they need that many phone models?
Agreed, that would be a great idea. I wish they offered a 4" iPhone with the A8 chip though. I wouldn't personally buy it as I prefer the size of the 6, but it seems a bit of a fob-off to no longer offer the latest specs in a smaller screen size -- especially after Apple kept banging on about one-handed usability for years.
I know there are some who just can't accept that Apple is prone to mistakes but can we at least finally admit that the 5c was a failure.
I've only ever seen two of these since they were released. I've already seen two iPhone 6s.
